universal - 1 or 2 days

Hi all,

For those who have been to Universal Studios in Orlando, I was wondering how long it would take to go through both parks? We would get there for park opening but leave by about 5:00 seeing as we won't/can't eat at the park due to food allergies.

Wondering if we can do BOTH in 1 day or if we need to allow 2 days to tour both parks? Anyone have any input or advice into this?

Two days is best, IMO.

Universal Studios = 1 day
Islands of Adventure = 1 day

Another vote for 2 days. Also I'd recommend staying onsite at a Universal hotel. All 3 are beautiful and best part is that your room key allows you to bypass the regular lines. It's like having an unlimited fast pass.

If Disney offered a similar perk, which I realize would be impossible, I'd stay onsite more often.

We're planning two full days, but primarily because we expect WWOHP to take the best part of one day. Day two is for US and to return to IOA and finish off all the stuff we won't get to on day one.

My kids are a bit young still for the really big coasters; if you have coaster fans on your hands, I would probably suggest 3 days. I bought 3-day park-to-park just in case we have extra time or absolutely MUST return for one last ride on a favorite. It was only $4 more per ticket to get 3 vs 2 days.
