It will be these dates - 9/10 - 10/6, between 10th September and 6th October, price $25 (thats just for the express passes of course)

I think during slower times it`s best to buy them in the parks - when me and DD visited last Sept. you didn`t need them - there were virtually no lines for anything.

Yes I think generally if you visit at quieter times of the year you may not need them.
We always visit all the parks early in the morning, just find it more manageable then, and cooler too.

Think the best tip is get on the busier rides first, ie Shrek/Spiderman/The Mummy and possibly one or two others also.

I hadn't realised that US/IOA has stopped the Express pass,I have to agree with some of the posters that it smells of greed, bearing in mind that for our party of 3 we will already have shelled out about £1000 on our passes (WDW + flex) & I've always felt that the Parking fee should be scrapped if you are in possesion of a pass. But it isn't just US/IOA that are doing this don't forget that WDW are looking in to a scheme that depending on which Disney hotel you are in,the more fastpass priveledges you will have!
Have to say though that queuing 60-90 mins isn't too bad,we once queued for 3 hours for Spiderman, got off & DS asked if he could go on again!

LOL - 3 hours??! I wouldn't queue for 3 hours for anything, let alone a theme park attraction! I think the longest line we have ever waited in was about 30 or 40 minutes - and that was long enough considering the rides last about 2 minutes!

I must admit I was disappointed to hear that Universal had discontinued the free Express passes. Since we are DVC owners we will always spend the majority of our Orlando time at Disney, however we have always enjoyed going to the Universal parks as well.

This time there are six of us going - we are spending one day at each Universal park. If the Express Plus passes are $15 per person for a day, that would mean spending $180 on top of the $675 we already paid for the six 2-day tickets. This would bring the total Universal ticket cost up to $855 for two days. No thanks.

If the queues turn out to be horrendous we may just not bother with Universal next time. :sad2:
