Do you think they are worth going to?? and does anyone have any tips on them

They are definitely worth going to. I always loved USF, but since they expanded to include IoA, CityWalk and the onsite hotels, I think they really give WDW a run for its money (I love both). There is a Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure forum right here on the DIS.

I love the Universal parks! We were there last April, I was there a few days ago with my 4yo, and we will all go back this April. There are a lot of things to see and do and the front of the line perk for onsite guests is great, especially when it is busy.
