Hi All!

My boyfriend and I are taking a trip to WDW/Univ in a couple of weeks. We're planning on spending one day in each of the Universal parks. We'll be there July 6th and 8th.

Okay, #1 - Will Express Plus passes be necessary to see everything in the parks? Is it worth the extra money to not wait in the lines or try to schedule the free ones available every 2 hrs.?

#2 - We are thinking we'd like to hang out at CityWalk during the evenings we're there. What restaurants would have the least wait with the most fun atmosphere? Would we need reservations? So many of them look like so much fun, it's hard to decide!! But, is the food good with reasonable prices?

We are so excited we are literally counting the days!! Thanks for any input to making this the magical trip we're envisioning!!!

It will be busy so those express books will come in handy as for atmoshere Margretville & Latin Quarter on citywalk are good but recommend a ps also in USO try FINNEGANS its great :jester:

It can definitely get crowded in Citywalk but we enjoyed the Nascar Cafe which never got overly crowded so maybe this one would do in a pinch. Pat O'Briens also appeared to be reasonable but I've never heard if the food is any good there.

As for price, I think that they're all reasonable (depending on what you order) with only Emeril's being really expensive.

You are going right around the holiday and it can be very busy. Express access will maximize your day!

My fiance and I love Margaritaville! You don't even have to be a parrothead (though it makes it even more fun::yes:: ) The cuban meatloaf was very good and the menu is reasonable. We got in without reservations, and had a great time! Have fun.

I would highly suggest buying your Express Plus passes in advance for the days that you want to go. Sometimes(especially busy times) they sell out very early in the morning or even the night before! If you call Universal Vacations, you can purchase them ahead of time and I believe that you save a little money too!

I LOVE Margaritaville! The volcano is awesome! Also, I love the atmosphere at Bob Marley's, very laid back & happy!

While you're in IOA be sure to eat at Mythos! Delicious food & beautiful surroundings.

Have a wonderful time!
