I hadded an email awhile back from the president to of United that they were bringing back complimentary snack service but on our flight from Newark to Orlando it says no snacks? What has everyone here experienced recently?

Honestly I always grab a bottle of water and bring a snack of my choice from home prior to boarding so I have what I like when I want it and don't have to wait for service. Then if there are snacks its a bonus ! If the website isn't advertising snacks then I would plan for nothing just in case.

If I am traveling through a mealtime with my kids I also pack a lunchbox cooler with shelf stable lunch items and then add drinks from after security.

Snacks have been introduced since this month. Keep in mind the snacks the website claim are for purchase are actually snack boxes & substantially more filling. The free snacks are more akin to biscoff and peanuts.

The free snack service started February 16th. They are pretty meager; a stroopwafel for flights departing before 9:45 am and for flights departing after 9:45 a.m., you'll get packaged savory snacks, such as an Asian-style snack mix of rice crackers, sesame sticks and wasabi peas or a zesty-ranch mix of mini pretzel sticks, Cajun corn sticks and ranch soy nuts.

If you're going to be hungry, bring your own food, purchase onboard offerings or fly business/first.
