ive booked my December flights but have never flew with United airlines what are they like? Food? Entertainment?

Thanks

Hi
I've used United from Edinburgh via Newark for the last 12 years and never had an issue with them unlike BA via Gatwick and Virgin via Gatwick , both bad experiences.
In the last few years they have upgraded their in-flight entertainment and it makes the flight a breeze for me. Loads of channels and stop start when you like makes the flight fly past.
Food wise , again no complaints , it is airline food and gets the job done. They have like most US internal flights cut back on the offerings there. Used to get a nice sandwich or ice cream bar down from Newark but now they just try and sell you a box meal.

Still next trip in 2017 we will be on United again no questions.

United are a great airline from my experience ... My preferred airline and I have flown back and forth across the Atlantic many times . Entertainment system is very good , food is typical airline food as comment above . Hope you have a great trip!

On international flights you will get a full meal, as well as free beer and wine. Entertainment available depends on the plane type. You can check these options on UA's web site.

I am a million mile premium flyer on United. I fly it whenever possible for the miles and because I know what to expect. Download the United app on your phone and iPad before your flight. Assuming there is wifi on your flight that's how you grt access to movies.

You don't get free beer and wine from Ireland ... You get free non alcohol drinks .

So you don't get movies without downloading them?. I thought it would be like virgin

I'm not quite sure what Cedric is refering too with the United App but certainly on board films are just "there" to watch. You can stop pause and start a film whenever you want from the touchscreen.

I have booked flights for my niece birthday to NY and my sister is going with her

When I booked over phone they sent conf to me and my sister email

If I want keep check on flight etc i assume I set up an account on line

Does it have be in name of head reason on booking?
