Currently United's Ted has the best airfares for Chicago to Orlando in May. I'm a little jumpy booking since United's future seems uncertain. What do you guys think?

United has been under bankruptcy protection for just over 3 years now. They reached an agreement with their creditors last week to emerge from bankruptcy.

United is probably in a better financial position than some airlines that haven't been in bankruptcy, since United has been able to get out of certain contracts and expenses. Bottom line, I wouldn't be at all concerned about flying on United. (Well, at least financially, but their service can be rather spotty at times in my opinion.)

Thanks for the answer. I wasn't aware that they had reached a settlement. I guess I'm off to buy plane tickets!!
