Uniquely DVC packing items

Snap hooks for the shower - great for hanging up wet bathing suits. I also use them for my shower puff.

I thought all the tub/showers have the line that you can string across from one wall of the tub to the other? But extra hanging would be helpful.

I keep extra washcloths in my owners locker as we like a fresh one daily. I also keep or bring a dishcloth for wiping counters and the table. The tiny sponge at OKW just doesn't do the job. I have also bought disposable handi-wipes at the dollar store for this purpose.
Paper plates are also handy to have on hand for sandwiches, etc.

I always bring the travel pack of Clorox wipes, a travel size Fabreeze, extra zip lock bags (2 sizes), tea bags, coffee packs from other hotels (includes the coffee filter, creamer and sugar), a ziplock bag of fabric softner sheets (unscented), and I pack in my checked luggages a gallon size ziplock bag that has multiple snack size bags of detergent (for sensitive skin). Since we rent a car we head to the Winn Dixie and pick up a small bottle of bleach. PLus I have travel size containers of handi wipes

Once we get in the room before anyone does anything, myself and 1 other family member will take the clorox wipes and wipe down all doorknobs, tv controls, light switches, toilet(s) & counters. Then remove the bedspreads and place them on a chair in the corner of the room.

I also pack the small boxes of cereal, crackers, granola bars and pop tarts. This way if we need anything we head to the Winn Dixie when we leave the airport and before we check in. Since we all signed up for their loyalty program as seaonal members, we buy a case of water, soda, and anything else we might need.

Since we drive we bring a collapsible shelf unit. We stay in studios so storage is an issue. The unit we bought has 4 shelfs which we put food items, cups and plates, first aid kits etc. It takes up only a small space in the back of the van. This way when the kids say "Mom where is the..." I can just tell them to look on the shelf. Studio's have such little counter space for the coffee maker and toaster that there is barely enough room for a loaf of bread. This year I also plan to take a fold able camping table which will become my food prep area for sandwiches etc leaving the table for the computer and Disney paperwork I need.

I pack a shoe storage bag with clear plastic pockets and hang it on the bathroom door whenever we stay in studios. It really helps keep us organized. This is also handy in staterooms on cruises.

We drive, but I got an Owner's Locker this last trip. It was actually my bday/Christmas present because DH is tired of me hauling all this stuff back and forth! :lmao:

I hope for the same thing eventually. This will be our first trip home so just starting to get organized. Hope that once he sees all I have to lug back and forth each year he too will see the value in OL. It took a stay on friends points last year for him to see the value of DVC so I am hopeful:goodvibes

I've heard of this idea too, and happened to find a smaller and larger mesh one (I don't think either one is a shoe storage bag, but similar design). I haven't used them yet but thinking I might use the smaller one in the shower for shampoo, conditioner, body wash, face soap, etc; since it's all mesh it will be easy to dry and wash if anything get's on it. The larger one will hang in the bathroom or bedroom depending on room set-up and where we primarily get ready for other toiletries and maybe small cleaning supplies?

Microwave Bacon Cooker. That should be standard in all rooms. There is a cheese grater for goofy's sake and you can buy cheese already grated.

We always use paper towels to microwave bacon. 5 towels, 4 pieces of bacon, 5 towels, 3-4 minutes, done.
