I've been catching that not all resorts, all UYs, have the same amount of points. So, how can you find out what UYs in each resort have the biggest availability and the least?![]()
I think there are threads around that have that information. I know that for BLT, Feb UY seems to be the one assigned the most points. I know there are a lot more points for that UY than there are for my UY, which is June.
Just curious though, what is the relevance of the question? For what does it matter? (Not in a snarky way, just trying to figure out what use that information would be.)
Not the OP, but it seems as though this info might be useful in terms of picking a first UY (e.g., if one wanted to add-on via resale in the future, more contracts are available in some UY than others).

Just trying to see if my understanding is correct.
Owning at a given resort gives you the 11 month window to make a reservation. The UY has nothing to do with that 11 month window, only the date of the reservation, correct?.
If that's true that having multiple use years at a single resort shouldn't matter as long as the points are available when you want to vacation. It may be troublesome to specify which contract you want to use when making the reservation but this should work right?
If you buy additional contracts resale and get the same Use Year as what is currently owned, you can request that DVC make the resale contract a subordinate to an existing Master.
However, if you get a different Use Year, it will absolutely fall under a separate membership number. The only way to combine points from those contracts is via transfer and owners are limited to one transfer per year. There are also other restrictions related to transfers.

Based on deeds filed by Disney with the Orange County Comptroller, there is an uneven distribution of points by Use Year at each of the WDW DVC resorts. Here is a link to some data that I posted to a thread a few weeks ago: http://www.disboards.com/showpost.php?p=39253659&postcount=18. As others have posted, BLT seems to have a very pronounced imbalance with the February UY accounting for over a third of BLT's total points. Since there is only 7.85% of BLT left to be declared for the DVC membership, February will still account for a huge piece of BLT's total points once all declarations at BLT are complete.
