We've booked for next summer. Not planning on telling the children until Easter time. We're looking for a unique way to tell the children. One friend has recently told her children through a box of cakes which read out where they were going, Another friend did it on the fridge in scrabble letters.

As we're staying off site, I wanted to tell them we were going to Harry Potter Land in a different way but have no clue how to tell them. Does anyone have some fab idea's?

Hi

We had a chat with someone at the disneystore and they told the kids for us.

We found a fantastic cast member - she asked our girls to take part in a survey then gave them a 'gift envelope'

When they opened it, there was a letter from Mickey saying he was looking forward to see them soon etc.

If you are going to tell them at Easter why not do an Easter egg hunt and at the end of the hunt have a box with on the lid saying we are going to... Then inside the box have park maps, Disney tshirts, other little Disney goodies!

We bought a Mickey Mouse teddy from the Disney store and squeezed him into a medium-ish sized box, with a typed letter in Walt Disney font in his hands.

Wrapped the box up in brown parcel wrap and string, slapped a walt disney world sticker to it and then tied a label addressing it to them and tied some disney balloons to it. Basically, our intention was that it would look like it's just landed on the doorstep!

We rang the doorbell and hid around the corner like big kids waiting for them to open it :)

I wish now that we'd taken photos but the reaction of our 8 year old niece was amazing!

If its the harry potter theme you want to go for you can get personalised harry potter letters from ebay :)

They are like the ones harry gets in the film and you get other cool stuff too maybe you could have these posted inviting them to harry potter world.
