Unique twist to park transportation

We will be in WDW August 16-30, 2003.

We have one thing that is twisting my itinerary planning and park travel in every which direction. We will have our dog with us and have to make time for him to get out for a walk once or twice a day.

I'm trying to figure out how we might be able to combine an MGM/Epcot day and need some help in figuring out the travel arrangements utilizing a combination of our own car and Disney transportation.

I'm considering boarding the dog on this particular Sunday or Thursday at Epcot's kennel which I understand opens at 8:00 a.m. on these days of the week.

If we drive over to Epcot from Ft. Wildnerss to arrive at 8:00 a.m., would we be able to park in the Epcot lot for the day since we would be ending the day there?

Please correct me if I'm wrong but I understand there to be a direct bus from Epcot to MGM (no DD transfer as indicated on the transportation database). At what time would the busses from Epcot begin to run to the studios? Would we be able to be at the gates for MGM's opening since TOT and RNRC is on the top of our list?

Doesn't Fort Wilderness have a Kennel?

At any rate, to answer your question... Parking lot opens at 8:00... you will be held back until then. Not sure how long it takes to get the dog set up at the Kennel... but, buses will run approx every 15 mins starting at 8:15. 10 minute ride.

Yes Ft. Wilderness does have a kennel. The trouble is that going back to the campground to do the walking will be quite time consuming. If I take him over to Epcot's kennel I can then just walk him in the middle of the afternoon when we park hop and pick him up as we leave. On the days we intend to take a break from the parks, he probably will just stay at the campground kennels.
