We’re planning a quick weekend trip no parks so was thinking we could stay somewhere fun off property. Not sure where though.

is margaritaville fun to stay at?

I can't speak to Margaritaville, but you may consider one of those themed Air BnBs/house rentals. A lot of the ones mentioned here are pretty large, but there are smaller ones about.

Paging Mr Morrow has stayed at the Harry Potter one and the Star Wars one. They look like fun.
