Good Morning!!
We are staying at Disney BWV in November and i have been looking on touring plans to see what room i am going to try to request for the trip. We will be staying in a studio Garden/Pool view. As i look on the map i would love to have some kind of view of the boardwalk and i see there is a few rooms that you can see and also view the court yard. During the searching however I saw a studio room that faces the pool that looks significantly larger than normal size studios. Rooms 3048. 4048. 5048. I once stayed at Copper Creek in a studio room 1166 and to our surprise when we got in the room was about the size of a one bedroom because of the configuring of the building. I'm wondering if anyone stayed in one of these rooms at the boardwalk and could give some insight if these rooms are in fact larger in size. Thanks for any help!!

According to the room finding site, that set of rooms are designated handicapped accessible because they have roll-in showers. They will have safety bars by the toilet and the bed will be lower to the ground for easier wheelchair transfer, They are a specific booking category and if you are booking them, you will be asked to confirm you have a disability requiring this type of room, not what your disability is, just that you have one requiring that accommodation.

The Cooper Creek “surprise” studio is amazing!!! We’ve gotten it twice and have loved it!

You are far better asking on the DVC boards. There are well know rooms in BW, GF Studio and CC that are different. The larger studio rooms at BW are at the far end of the building a long walk to the lobby so you this would be a better request. The Courtyard views are well known many put in requests for similar and some are just flat out lucky if they know what they got. I personally prefer a good Tower of terror view as some rooms you can see it from the bed and it puts you close to all.

Yes there is a block of (10) Studios that overlook the Boardwalk Green. They are very close to the Elevators. Rooms are x053-x063.

Yes as @Tiggerish posted above those are H/C Accessible Rooms. You should not request them from Member Services unless you need the accessibility features.

BTW are you staying on Points, Renting Points or Cash via Disney?

Your Points- you make your request(s) via DVC Member Services.
Renting points - the owner that you renting from needs to make the request(s).
Cash - call Disney to make your request(s) or use the Chat feature in MDE.

There’s actually 28 Village Green studios, they are on 4 floors.

Some of those village green studios have balconies that are nearly as large as the room itself :)

The VG studios are some of the most requested studios. And BWV is HORRIBLE at filling requests to start with - even the easy stuff like "high floor" I've had bad luck with. Make the request for Village Green, just have reasonable expectations about it being filled - especially since its September, and the request list for those studios is probably already the length of Santa's nice list. (Requests may, or may not be, filled based off the date requested - for a long time at BWV that was the policy).

So much this. I have never gotten anything remotely close to what I've requested at BWV. It's almost like the assigner goes out of their way to give me the opposite of what I've asked for and I'm not requesting specific rooms either. I'm toying with the idea of not putting in a request at all for our next trip to see if I end up with something better this next time.

I’ve been lucky. I give them 5 or 6 room numbers and almost always get one. I also use Touring Plans room finder.

I use TP room finder as well, but never get anything close to what I request.
Do you also put a request through member services? I give them room numbers. Like for a boardwalk view studio, I request x029 or x031, floors 3,4,5 (I actually list them out). Got one of those 4 of 5 times. They are the only dedicated studios in boardwalk view plus closer to the elevators than most.

I've done both and still there must be a black mark on my account or something. :D

Yes, twnety five years of ownership and ONE request met in twenty five years.

Not a WDW resort room, but earlier in the year we stayed at a special Vero Beach DVC room. It was L shaped and faced both the entrance driveway and the pool side of the main building. No joke, this was a 950 square foot room. I think there are only a couple of these rooms in the main building.

We had that room. And we were top floor and had a view of the ocean, too. It was SPECTACULAR!! So much space.

Maybe not unique in a good way. There is one BRV studio (and only one) without a balcony, 4533. I am not sure why. Someone at one point gave an explanation, I just don't remember.
