Unique Date Ideas?

1. Go over to AKL to see the animals from the overlook
2. Go to the lounge at a fancy resort for drinks
3. Hang out on the boardwalk
4. Do a tour!
5. Carriage ride at POR

If your the outdoorsy type and depending on what your normal life looks like, Fort Wilderness can be a nice afternoon out. Just a variety of options from horseback riding, fitness/nature trails, hayrides, a great lakeside beach, fishing, horseshoes, boat rentals, some dining that is "country fun" and not really disney. I think they have one of the better free movies at night locations. If you've never seen it and time your day over there the Electrical Water Pageant comes by in the evening (electric light parade on water). It's a great "relax day" but could be a nice date afternoon/evening.

For nighttime activities, the Bay Lake area has a lot to offer on the more affordable side:

- Grab some drinks at the Poly's Tambu and then watch fireworks from the beach
- Trader Sam's for drinks / snacks
- Nighttime boat ride over to Wilderness Lodge and Ft Wilderness
- Territory Lounge for drinks / snacks
- Early November may have some decorated campsites - Grab a drink to go at Crockett's Tavern (Ft Wilderness) and stroll through the camping loops to check out decorations / lights
- Watch Electric Light Parade from the Fort beach
- I think there's still a carriage ride at the Fort
- Campfire singalong and movie at the Fort

Food&Wine will be going on while you're there at epcot. You could walk around and sample some snacks/drinks from each of the booths. The booth food is inexpensive. Also, fort wilderness has horseback riding, archery, wagon rides, and more. If you're on a really tight budget, your resort should have movies under the stars for free

So...it seems like the favorite is Fort Wilderness :)
So far, I plan on doing the Boardwalk for a night, and surprising my passionate-musician date with Jellyrolls.
The horseriding, animal-viewing, & light parade sound great, too! Thanks, everyone!

It depends on what you are into:
sports: golf, mini-golf, fishing, RPDE, marathon, bowling, ESPN Club, WWS/ESPN Zone, etc
shopping: DTD, area outlet malls, large scale malls
drinking: Jellyrolls, Raglan Road, monorail tour of resorts, walking tour of resorts in the Boardwalk area
movies: DTD 24 screen theater some with meals served by waiters
night clubbing: Jellyrolls, Atlantic Dance, Raglan Road, Citywalk
resort tours: monorail tour of resorts, Boardwalk around the lake tour of resorts, AKL/AKV
offsite: Gaylord Palms Resort, Citywalk, swamp tour
In front of HoB, there is usually a singer in the afternoons that you can listen too.
At GF they have a band playing in the lobby that is a lot of fun to take a seat and listen too.

Glad someone else is getting some great ideas out of this! Now I think I've got too many ideas to narrow down :) which is always a good problem to have. Thanks again, everyone!

"Suit Up" monorail bar crawl. Dress to the nines and order a drink each at the Wave lounge, Trader Sam's and Mizners.

Progressive dinner at the Crescent Lake resorts. Have a cocktail and appetizer at the Bluezoo lounge, then maybe head to Flying Fish for an entrée, and Il Mulino for dessert and prosecco. That would dovetail nicely into your Jellyrolls plans.

Jiko is a beautiful anniversary dinner destination (or for another super special date) but it is pricey!

Otherwise nighttime animal-watching at the AKL savannahs is fun, as is strolling around the Boardwalk, watching a Disney movie at the theater there (we were fortunate enough to be there when Brave came out), or sharing samplers at Sanaa!

Sanaa is already on our list that week-it's so tasty! But yes...AKL all around is *amazing*!
