Unique Baby Boy Names

Shamus ... Declan ... Keiran ... Maverick ... Quinton

Yeah, you could say those are unique: 3 are mis-spelled, and one came from a 1950's TV show (or from the movie Top Gun, which is more likely if he is a child.) The only real name in the bunch is Declan.

FTR, the proper spellings are Seamus, Ciaran, and Quentin. (The first two are Irish, the third is Latin.)

Please think twice before deliberately choosing an unconventional way to spell a name. Surveys have actually shown that having a "creatively spelled" name can disadvantage a person over time: http://www.babynamesworld.com/naming_tips/eb12.htm

Wow I'm surprised I haven't seen my DS1 name on the list yet.

Corbin

We have not met anyone yet with his name but we saw his name after we named him in the personal creations catalog.

I haven't seen my DS's name yet - Theo
It is one of those names that seems to be well known, yet not terribly common. For us it is a family name on my DH's side, actually short for Theophil, which I'm sure came from Theophilus.

I like the names

Mason
Parker
Ronan

but my favorite, if we had a boy(despite DH's protests) would have been named

Rylan

My ds's are Truman and Thaddeus. We've only bumped into a few IRL.

Big Brother is Liam.

Our sons are Logan (not so unique here anymore), Ravi, and Solomon (Sol for short)
I have a nephew named Miles which I don't hear too often and another named Reese which I do hear often

We had a baby boy last year and named him Chad. I get positive comments on it all the time. I wanted something that was "mainstream" but not popular. We have yet to meet a Chad in playgroups, swimming or daycare. :thumbsup2

We thought we had picked a not-so-common name for DS2:

Caden

But with a few weeks after he was born, met 5 Caden's (although one was with a K)! But to top it off, we named him "Caden Jhames". When we got home from the hospital there was an email from a couple from our Lamaze class. They had been in the same hospital as us and had their baby two days prior (on the day I was originally scheduled to be induced). Their birth announcement was for their baby boy named "Caden James". We had never discussed names in class and we didn't pick DS's name until after he was born. What are the chances of that?
