Does anyone know what cab fare would cost from Union Station to Chicago Midway? Is there any other type of transportation available from the train station to the airport? This is for 1 adult & 2 children. Thanks! :goodvibes

My parents did this after a train trip on Amtrak. If I recall, it was around $26 - 28 (not including tip). That was in Feb - Mar of this year. I don't know if the fares have gone up, but they said it was pretty expensive. I thought it would be a flat rate, but they said the driver when by the meter.

If you're up for it, the Orange Line (public transit system) runs to Midway and it's only about 3-4 blocks east of Union Station. The total trip takes about 35 mins. and the fare is $1.75 each (may be lower for the kids -- I'm not sure). I ride the Orange Line everyday to and from work and it's a breeze. Good luck!

Looks like I might have to pay the cab fare. I would love to take the bus, but we will have to much luggage. Thanks for the help!

Take the Orange Line, very simple, and depending on the time isn't very crowded so a lot of luggage won't be a real big hassle...
