Oh Christ, give me a break. I think most people know that it's unfair that my mother and father died of cancer in the last 4 years both around the age of 60. I think most people know it's not fair that priests molest little kids. I think most people know that some lunatic going in a school and shooting up a school isn't fair, but that is all a relative life experience. This forum discusses problem in respect to Disney and this happens to be one. People spend thousands of dollars on a vacation, and many people struggle to save that money to give their children the Disney Experience, something EVERY child should get. But no, it's not fair that a person staying offsite that is paying the same exact admission price as an on site guest is not getting the option of having the same value for that same price.
Why would Disney do that? Where's the logic? They are a business and make money from on site guests so they wouldn't lower off site guest tickets. What would that do for them???

pssst... purple MB's...![]()

When we went in August, our resort wasn't testing the MB and therefore couldn't partake in FP+, was I upset? No, honestly couldn't have cared less. We toured like we always do and took advantage of EMH both in the a.m. and p.m. and got fastpasses for all the rides we wanted with no issues and walked onto many with minimal wait (were the parks empty? Oh no they were not). DH & I just got back on Thursday from a 5 day trip and this time we had MB's and did FP+. We had no issues with linking our A/P's to our bands and everything went smooth. We didn't pull any paper fast passes and didn't feel the need to BUT could have done so as there were still plenty of paper passes to pull. What we did find was that "most" wait times posted in the standby lines were overly exaggerated with the exception of Soarin' which, IMHO, has always been a mess. Twice we got onto TSM within 30 min when both times the wait time listed was 120 min. Now, when it comes to the debate about whether or not FP+ is fair to offsite guests, I have to side with many that it should be a perk to onsite guests, sorry. Whether or not that changes, remains to be seen but I wouldn't get upset if I stayed offsite and didn't get the perk either. Since this whole test began, it's been said that testing was for "resort guests" only so not sure why people are getting so upset as we would have had no issues pulling paper passes for most of the headliners (again, with the exception of Soarin') and we weren't at the parks at rope drop either. And finally, as far as staying onsite vs. offsite, it is a personal choice and to say that staying onsite isn't worth it anymore, well, that would all depend on who you ask. For us, we've done both and I can tell you that I would never stay offsite again for many reasons and the busses aren't one of them as we are not bus people and rent a car always AND I can honestly say we don't spend a fortune staying onsite either.
wall of text.
that is all.

Yes those are all perks and you are right they are for resort guests only. While we pay the same price for tickets, we don't all pay the same price for a hotel, we don't all choose to stay with Disney and I feel that resorts guests should get those for staying on property. You want those perks, stay at a Disney resort. Pretty simple.
People have a sense of entitlement and complaining just makes things worse. You can complain and go and be miserable or you can get over it and enjoy your time at Disney.

Is this necessary? Because someone else likes something you don't, do you have to be so belittling?
Not everyone feels the same way you do about Disney, clearly, but you don't have to be rude.
If you gave this dude everything he wanted he'd find something to wrongly complain about. Sent from my iPhone using DISBoards

And am I the only one who thinks the MB's are uncomfortable... I, honestly was ready to throw the damn thing out by the end of our trip...just sayin'

I think you just summed it up for me. My point is that people are loosing sight of what Disney is and what it has to offer.
While I hear what you're saying, how would it be any different than onsite resort guests who are entitled to EMH's and therefore a "jumpstart" to rides and paper fastpasses? Right now, that is a perk for onsite guests who are paying the same ticket price as an offsite guest who doesn't get that perk but are paying more for a room to get that perk
Funny question.. My DS says so, my DD's are like OMG accessories!! But me, like I've stated before I go to Cancun every year (grown up get away) and at our resort we wear bracelets that coordinate guest level.. and they are those cheap not exactly paper ones. So I find the MB's a refreshing change

But what you are missing is that they are NOT paying the same price. They are paying at least $100 more per night for comparable accomodations.
Is it really "double dipping"? FP+ limits you to one park-3 fast passes. In the past we've been able to use up to 6 or 7 fast passes in one day and at multiple parks and for the same rides! Yes I did take advantage of what you are calling double dipping. The FP+ is in its testing phase. So there will be some tweaking I'm sure. Just like anything it has its pros and cons. Honestly I am not a big fan of FP+ because I think it has turned Fast Pass into SLOW Pass! But that's another thread!![]()
DH didn't mind his but said mine was probably uncomfortable because my wrist was so small. I had heard of some folks cutting theirs down but was afraid to cut mine. Both my DD's can't wait to get one next summer![]()
