Unfair :(

How on earth did you swing that?????

Honestly....London hotels are wicked expensive. That's quite the deal and I either want the OP booking my trips from now on, or I want the number of their TA. :)

I 100% believe the OP got the deal reported, FYI. I just wish I'd been lucky enough to snag it, too!

Ask the Annual passholders how they feel about FP+, they're screwing them too

Also an AP holder, currently staying on site and just fine with FP+ *shrug*

Is this necessary? Because someone else likes something you don't, do you have to be so belittling?

I was being kind, i left out the part about the kids that act like animals that run around unsupervised because their parents think taking a vacation means also taking a vacation from being responsible for watching your children or monitoring their behavior.(yes, I know this is all kids/parents, but I've seen my share at the food courts, pools, ect..)

As a "cast member" (I work for ESPN) I get free passes to the park and I also pay to stay onsite but I don't get the option for FP+ yet. Am I mad that I won't have the best pick of FP times? No, not at all. It's called TESTING for a reason. I was even told EVENTUALLY I will be able to link my own passes to the Disney Experience and be able to plan our trip accordingly. My parents are also Annual Pass Holders and just the same as me, they will will be able to get their own personalized wrist bands and have the FP+ option. We are actually picking them up in Dec when we go. It's change and people don't like change. But it is what it is.

You missed the entire point of my post.

What I am saying is that Disney's competitor parks have found a system where they can benefit their onsite guests while still offering a comparable product (for a price) to their offsite visitors. Pay the price to stay onsite and get the included benefit, or have the option of paying the price to add the perks as an add-on, its the choice of the consumer.

Universal and SW do not exclude ANY guest from those benefits. Its just a question of whether or not those benefits come at an additional cost. Offsite guests to either of these sets of parks have options.

Disney has completely excluded offsite guests from an options regarding FP+. Not a very magical decision on their part.

My understanding is that once it rolls out "live", the number of FP+ will be based on the category of accommodations with deluxe getting more than moderate getting more than value. Off-site guests will have the opportunity to purchase FP+ at an additional cost per FP, kind of a "pay to play" deal.

My 2 cents and not based on anything other than hearsay...

I loved the Bristol perks. Wish my "Uncle Dan" was still working there. :)

Sounds like McDonalds on a Friday night, in the playscape.

Point being....there are plenty of off site places where similar things occur. They are certainly not exclusive to Disney hotels.

I don't find this Unfair at all, but rather a perk of staying on site.
I pay the extra money and I am grateful for the perk.
Nobody said life was always fair.

As OP stated, IF SHE HAD KNOWN beforehand then she wouldn't have a problem with it. She could have made an educated decision. Finding out after booking that you will get few if any fast passes changes the whole trip. And we are talking thousands of dollars and possibly the only vacation for her family this year. That's what makes it WRONG.

oooh i'd be on pins and needles right now lol

Well, only two of us are going, and there's four in the immediate family, so I figure the odds are good at least two of us will make it to next spring alive and in fit shape to travel. ;)

It's my daughter's graduation/18th birthday present!

It's DEFINITELY a GREAT perk. And with my parents living in FL now and only an hour from WDW, my husband and I are down there 3-4 times a year. It's awesome! :goodvibes

not according to the Disney Website:
https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/faq/fast-pass-plus/charges-associated-with-use/

Q. Is FastPass+ service complimentary?
A. Yes. FastPass+ service is complimentary for FastPass+ eligible Guests with valid theme park admission.

thanks, uh I haven't seen that 1,000 times over the past 6 months.

As I said, that is what they say is GOING TO HAPPEN, THAT IS NOT WHAT IS HAPPENING, and until it changes I am right and you are wrong.

What I am stating is fact, what you are quoting is future specualtion

So you are not currently at WDW, but you are upset that offsite guests do not get FP+ and it doesn't matter to you that Disney said it WILL be available to all guests because that is later and not now?

Nov 2

Red Roof Inn 59.95
All Stars $133.34
Pop Century $144.00
Art Of Animation $149.00

Not to mention...
Cheapest room onsite for a family with three children: $214
Cheapest room onsite for a family with four children (who can fit in a typical Comfort Inn-type hotel with a pullout couch): $290

And that's a "cheap" off-season rate. A larger family spends more on park tickets, buys more food, has more people who want to t-shirts and other stuff, and creates more future Disney-going families. Shouldn't we get some extra perks?

I was down for ESPN: The Weekend a few years ago. Got to meet Greenie, Golick, Dicky V and tons of other people via my "uncle" (he's not really related, long time friend of our family).

Someday, when I "retire" (in 20 years or so), I want to go work for them in I.T. Heck, I'd clean the floors part time if it would get me some of the perks they get. :)

Anyone else find it slightly comical that this enraged poster has gone 2x a year for the past 30 years?

Seems like a strange choice since everything about Disney sucks.

I was there a few weeks ago and experienced it first hand
