Unexpected Christmas Eve Visitor!

I’ve been sitting here for a while, reading the DIS boards; and I saw something moving on the wall behind my computer. I didn’t look at first, because I figured there was nothing really there. (I get that from time to time, think I see something but when I look there’s nothing.) Finally, I did look, but there was definitely something there! It was a BIG SPIDER! I’ve seen big spiders before at the lake, but I’ve never seen one in my house, in the middle of winter! Our temperature here warmed up into the 40s today, so it must have woke up my spider friend. Fortunately, my nephew was here (we’d just been to a family party). He agreed to get the spider with a paper towel, until he saw the size of it. So, I found him an empty coffee jar. He caught the spider and let it loose in the neighbors’ yard! I sure hope he didn't have any friends in here! Wonder what I did with that tennis racket/bug zapper thing someone gave me--I might need it when my nephew leaves!

Diane! THE SAME thing just happened to us! We were putting the kids to bed and above my son's door (he's 3) there was a huge spider, one of the biggest we have ever seen and CERTAINLY NOT welcome in our home. I freaked, my DH even freaked, so then DS freaked...Dh tried to kill it with a magazine and it fell to the ground and ran under a door into another room and up into my treadmill. Dh shook that treadmill as hard as he could but no luck. That spider was holding on for dear life. He ended wheeling the treadmill outside. It was funny at one point but stopped being funny when he got away and there is a possibility he could still be in the house! ICK!!!

I was just about to post a thread that a huge spider just ran across my chest, yes ran across my chest!!!!!

I was laying down on the couch at my parents house when my dad's eyes pop and he says get up now! I see it, freak out, then I saw the huge thing race under the couch

We can't find it, I am freaking out!!

The HUGEST spiders make webs in my grandma's yard. Every once in awhile they make home overnight across the entrance gate and has to be done away with. They are so big and black, they scare the you know what outta me.
