Unexpected Auguast Trip!

This is not my first trip but this is my first thread. My mom sprung a trip on my bf and i and we'll hopefully be going in the first week of August. Our other trips (12 or 13 for me total)have been far better planned and i'm fairly concerned about whether we'll be able to get reservations anywhere. Wondering if any one has experience with this and also wondering if anyone happens to be there and knows how the crowds are/how they are usually in August. Otherwise we're extremely excited and i'm dying to go!

We are going the 1st week of August also. The resorts are pretty booked up as far as on site goes. But off site, I am not sure.

First off, let me say to the DIS. As for August, it is going to be CROWDED! The resorts all seem to be near capacity so it is going to be a busy time. We are there from the 1st -6th of August. Whether crowded or not, get your plan of attack together and ENJOY!

We were ther last year, 8/7-8/12, wanted the next week, but was booked up. Busy is correct, it actually slowed down a bit our last two days there when it was supposed to. This year we are going 8/9-8/15, hoping it will be slower.

We were able to ride everything we wanted, just have to hit everything early and relax in the afternoon.

Unfortunately, the trip was postponed til Dec of this year, not too far in the future and for the better...more time to plan! Roughly 4 1/2 months!
