I have to do job searches as part of my unemployment claim

I had to register with WI job service-part of which was filling out a resume

putting in resumes counts as 1 of the 4 searches I need to do each week

this was all done together in other words I signed up with job service and then another part of it was filling out the resume

now can count this as 1 search or 2 --also when I filied for that week I only counted it as 1 search can I go back and count it now since I didnt do it the first time

also one of the questions is are you available for full time--we are going on vacation Jan 31 to 2-7 now if I answer no will that go against my unemployment--it does mention going on vacation as part of answering no--

thanks all I just hate calling usually Im on hold forever then the person dosnt understand what Im even talking about and gives me an answer that has nothing to do with what I asked

This is at least the 4th thread you've started about unemployment. You really need to call because the laws are different in every state. Someone may have received their payment while on vacation and someone in another state may have not. In my state it would matter if you had the ability to return to accept work if offered. The penalties for taking a week you weren't entitled to are also different in different states, so you'll have to confirm that with your state. Does your state or local office have an email or web form you can use? Don't you file for a week after it has passed? It will be 5 weeks before you need to know how to handle your vacation week.

^^agreed. However most states require you to sign, under penalty of perjury, that you were able to work that week. So if you are on vacation, it is unlikely you will get unemployment for that week.

Just call. Or go in if there is an office near to you. I was on unemployment in WI but it was a decade ago almost and things change and all states are different.

I'm trying to call in my weekly claim, and the first question is "Were you able to work full-time and available for full-time work." What does that mean?
All claimants are asked this question each week. Benefits are payable to those who are able to work full-time (32 hours or more per week), and are available for work full-time. If a person answers "no" we can not pay benefits until we determine the circumstances. This question has nothing to do with the later question of "Did you work during the week." This question also has nothing to do with whether your employer has work for you in that week.

Warning: Committing unemployment insurance fraud is illegal. Wisconsin Unemployment Insurance law allows for severe penalties for intentionally providing false information, making false statements, or misrepresenting facts relating to eligibility for unemployment benefits. These penalties may include disqualification from benefits, loss of future benefits, repayment of erroneously paid benefits, monetary penalties, and criminal prosecution. To avoid these penalties, you must provide complete, correct and honest information when filing your unemployment claims.

If you make a mistake or forget to report a material fact relating to your claim, please contact a claims specialist immediately to correct your record.

The good thing about unemployment (I believe) is that it pays based number of weeks. That means if you don't get paid one week, you have another week on the back end to claim before it runs out....

The questions about if you were available mean just that. If you were offered a job last week, would you have been available to take it? I was on DC unemployment last summer and they asked that. If you didn't say yes, you didn't get paid for that week. I still had to show proof of job searching when I was on vacation, too.
