Underwater Camera?

I am thinking I'd like to get a camera capable of being used underwater. We will be on the Fantasy next year, and I'd like to take a camera on the aquaduck and on our snorkeling trip. Right now, I only own DSLRs (Nikon D90 and a D300), and while I usually do take the DSLR on vacation, I don't want to worry about it on these excursions. I am also picky about my photos (hence the DSLR lol), so I want a quality waterproof camera.

Does anyone have any camera they recommend? I like (so far) the Nikon Coolpix AW100 and the Panasonic Lumix TS3. I think I like the Nikon because I am most familiar with that brand, and it is 16mp. The Panasonic has higher ratings though because it can go to a lower depth and the battery lasts longer. Its only 12mp. Any opinions on these or any others?

If you really want something to use while snorkeling I wouldn't limit the search to point and shoots that have been adapted for underwater use. I'd also consider cameras that were designed from the ground up to be used underwater. Personally I really like SeaLife cameras.

I started scuba diving last year and have been looking at a lot of underwater cameras. One thing I've learned is that ergonomics play a bigger part in the water than they do on land. So really consider the button layout, number of buttons (more isn't necessarily better here) and look at reviews about flooding. They'll all flood at some point in time, but see which one has the best track record.
