Understanding surveys

I am completely clueless about this survey thing. For some reason I saw a website today called paidsurveysonline.com. I put it in my fave places to check out later. While I was looking at dis I saw someone post a survey question & they were referred here. Then I saw all the surveys listed on a thread & now am more confused then ever!!
Do you have to "join" something to participate? The above website makes you pay $40 & then they tell you where to go to get the surveys. I am not sure if this is a scam. I tried to find pinecone, vivdence, buzzback (prev mentioned in your thread) & can't figure out if I pay for these too or do I just join & they pay me to fill out surveys.
I would really like to do this! But I hate to pay $40 for someone to give me info I could have gotten for free.
Can someone with experience just clue me in as to how to climb aboard the survey bandwagon!!

If you pay....................you will then get a list of survey places. I did pay, because I had an extra 30 bucks. I refigtered for at least 200 surveys, NEVER have heard from any of them. The surveys I do that I have been paid for are Surveyspot and NFO. But I have only been paid between the 2 about 40 dollars. Most of the surveys are non paid.


Paying to find them is a rip off.
