I am an engineer, and we have been described as people who make simple things complicated, and complicated things simple. I am hoping someone could help me confirm which I am doing here.
Supposing I were a DVC member, and had points banked from last year to use on a WDW vacation, and also had this years points that I am going to bank to use next year. Also suppose I am planning a WDW vacation for March 16-20th. What would stop a person from making a reservation in a lower point required resort, a studio in Old Key West for instance, for March 7-March 20, making FP+ reservations 60 days before March 7, then when the 60 day window before March 20 has passed, cancelling the Key West reservation and transferring the WDW tickets to the reservation actually going to be used on March 16-20. By leaving this loophole, isnt Disney just encouraging booking to happen just to get FP+ reservations 14 days early, then cancel that part of the reservation that is not actually needed? Or am I missing something?
