UNDERRATED SURPRISE!!Epcot's Disney &Pixar Short Film Festival

I did have a tough time picking that third FP (2nd FP for MS)... Currently I have turtle talk , but after reading this thread I'm putting this on our list. Would it be better to use the 3rd FP for Turtle talk or the Pixar short? Thanks!!

Definitely use it for Turtle talk!! I'm not saying don't go to the pixar festival.. but you definitely dont need a fastpass for it!

A FP+ for Turtle Talk is the absolute dictionary definition of the word, "useless."
(And, I'm not kidding.)

I love Turtle Talk, BTW, and see it at least twice per WDW trip, but its FP+ is in no way an advantage over standby.

I really liked it too.

Saw it for the first time in January with BFF and then went and saw it again with DH in March.

Yes, it replaced Captain EO. I can't imagine it's going to be permanent, but I'd bet they continue it for a while. It's fun and is a nice relaxing break from the heat. They show 3 short films, about 5-7 minutes in length each. Even the waiting area is neat because they show a video with the history of Pixar and their short films.

The shorts they show are: Get a Horse which has Mickey, Minnie and Pete as the main stars. Luna (which I thought was only so-so) and I forget the name of the third one but it's about birds on a telephone or power line. It's pretty funny.

Is it La Luna? Where they sweep up the stars on the moon? OMG my kids adore that one.

Yep, and I think the same applies for the short film festival. It's in a large movie theater that I've never seen fill to capacity. Your wait time will depend solely on what part of the cycle you walk in on. If you walk in right after they have started a show, you'll wait 15 minutes. If you walk in right as a show is about to end, you'll wait one minute.

Really, think of it like you would Muppets 3D. Same waiting area set up, similar size theater.

Ditto. Saw it in February and really enjoyed all three. Luna made me cry. Nice chance to sit down in some AC. Walked in with no wait.

When we were there in May, we had this as our third FP+ and actually debated skipping it. I'm so glad we didn't though...it turned out to be great! I had seen all three shorts before, but the 4-D really enhanced them IMO.

I am considering trying this out when we go. We are taking our almost 2 year old. Are any of the films or effects scary? I would never have taken her into Tough to Be a Bug or Honey I Shrunk the Audience.

Huh. . . thanks for posting! I have long skipped right past EO and upon hearing these were shorts I've likely seen before, I figured there would be no need to fit this into our Epcot days either. I'm glad to hear the 4D is a good addition and that stopping in for this is worthwhile! Our family does love the Pixar shorts :)

We saw it in February as a forced FP selection and my kids loved it so much that one os now utterly obsessed with Pixar (he's 9) and is now fully intending to work there one day. He's also desperately trying to track down a "tin toy" but the only ones I can find are stupid expensive so he will just have to wait until he has that amazing Pixar job (lol).
