I am really missing Disneyland, almost one year after my first trip, and I thought I would re-read my Unofficial Guide to DL. While reading the description of IJA,it stated that the queing area at one point came to within 50 yards of the Santa Monica Pier:confused:.......okay...I know I walked a long way....but I think he meant Paradise Pier.
So now I am wondering if there is a map of the underground rides with a street view overlay. I would love to see where those rides actually are laid out.

Thats not making sense at all. I could not see IJA being that long of a que especially underground.

Maybe I am wrong would love to see a map also.

It is a very long and quite expansive layout. There is an interactive map that shows where all the tracks actually run for each ride. I had it Bookmarked on the old computer, but can't find it on my new one. Someone has it...... Anyone? Anyone? Buell...

I googled that, and found that google has a preview-the-book type of feature, so I was able to read the page. I think, based on other things the author says in the ride description, that he's joking.

I agree. It's just poking fun that the line stretches past LA.

It's nowhere close to Paradise Pier. It goes to the ride, and the showbuilding that houses it is just past the berm. The que follows the POTC building and drops under the RR tracks. Much like POTC itself.

That would be an interesting map to look at, I never thought about how it's all layed out underground. Interesting.....

We spent a lot of time in POTC and IJA wondering what was above our head.

Wikimapia is a good tool for checking out locations at Disneyland. Check here:

The white-roofed building at the center is IJA. It's right behind Tram Circle. Nowhere near PP (or Santa Monica :rotfl:), but it looks to be within 50 yards of GCH.

HTH,
Bob

That's the one! Yay, I get my missing bookmark back! :) Thanks, GrandBob. :goodvibes

I wonder if the author meant the queue is within 50 of the Santa Monica pier in terms of distance (i.e. It's almost as long at the pier).
