DEC 6th
To our amazement, the ship was already docked when we woke early..We heard a rumor that she actually docked around 1:30 am!!. I guess the Captain speeded things up in order to beat an oncoming storm or something?
We grabbed our last "free" bfast" at Cabanas and headed toward the exit..
As much as we'd like to hang around the ship the morniong of debarkation, we usually go the opposite way and make every effort to get over to the Disney resort and then the parks ASAP!
Plus we had tickets to
MVMCP tonight!
If you are some of the few early passengers to leave the ship, we've found you actually get a Mears shuttle van to drive you over, thus avoiding the waiting for an entire bus to load.
To our amazement, we had the same van driver we had on our previous cruise a year ago..A guy we'd been joking about for a year because he had been so obvious about looking at his tips as he left passengers off. (and shaking his head in disappointment each time)
Right Nancy?
Upon arrival, our room was ready and we dropped off our luggage and had previously arranged a ride from a friend over to Theme Park Connection in nearby Winter Garden..
If you've never been there, we highly recommend the place! Its like another attraction itself, with tons of Disney park memorabilia and collectibles.
we couldnt resist ourselves and bought this rare Epcot Center stained glass!
Lucky for us, they ship!
Didnt buy this old piece from Journey Into Imagination..but sure wanted to!!
Spent lots of time in this play area with the kids back in the day.
We did also buy a Splash Mountain sign just like this one!
After a morning of shopping, we had our friend drop us off at the Contemporary (since it was closer) and we just walked over to the MK for The Christmas Party!
