What are the pros and cons from purchasing your tix from them? Just priced out my family and the savings was $150. Just trying to figure out what the "catch" is.

i got my UT tickets a few weeks ago for my june 30th trip (OH BABY!!!!!!), and saved $60 for my wife and i. i'm even told that when i get to my resort, they can add the ticket on to my KTTW card so i only have to carry one card with me at all times (especially when i add charging privileges!).

there really doesn't seem to be a "catch" or anything like that.

Nothing! Just ordered 3 ten day park hopper passes from them... got them in about a week, free shipping and cheaper than anyone else!!

In May I bought tickets from them for Universal, the Blue Man Group and a bus tour to NASA....I didn't get my Disney tickets from them but I think I would if we ever go again. I had a bunch of questions and got answers right away from them. My tickets arrived within 10 days of purchase (mailed to Canada) and I couldn't have been happier with everything. We saved money on everything we bought so what could be better then that!:cool1:

We bought from them in 2011 and it was great, no problems.

Just bought our tickets for our Aug 13 trip and so far it is also GREAT. In fact, I had some kind of mix-up when I purchased using the mousesavers link. It looks like I had the mousesavers discount in my cart but then I waited too long to complete the purchase and the discount disappeared. I purchased anyway without noticing and only discovered this like a month later. I emailed them and they refunded the difference. That is another $30 bucks saved on top of their already great prices! It was my mistake but they made it right!

They are a great company, excellent customer service.

The only possible "catch" applies to all third party ticket purchases. If you buy your tickets from UT, you will not be able to purchase a dining plan. Altough the length of the plan is tied to your room, you have to buy at least 2 days of tickets to get the dining package. Which means you won't be eligible for free dining either.

OTOH, many people (including myself) prefer to not do the dining plan anyway, and typically any period that includes free dining usually has an option of substantial room discounts, so for many people it all works out.

Wow, I didn't realize this was the case. We bought our tickets through UT, and my wife and I have gone back and forth on the dining plan...I guess that debate is over! I win!

LOL - that cracked me up.

You can get tickets separate from the dining plan if you're renting DVC points (or if you own DVC), but otherwise you have to do it as a package. Our last trip, we rented DVC points and added the QS dining plan. Next trip, since one of our kids will be a Disney adult, we're not bothering with it.

I've bought tickets from UT the last several trips. Always saved money over what Disney charges and never had an issue.

The fact that you cannot do the dining plan with UT tickets is actually a pro, not a con, of buying tickets from UT, since the dining plan is a horrible option and a waste of money.

:)

We have used UT for all our park ticket purchases and have had no issues. You save money and get actual tickets, instead of vouchers.

Why spend money you don't have too..... you should wait and do that once you get to disney. :rotfl2:

We buy our tix thru UT & try to get a really good room discount...like 30% or more. We do a lot of CS meals anyways so it works best for us.

No catch...but one beware...they are paper tickets so as the commercial says "don't leave home without it!". :)

But, once there if staying on property you can add them to your card..

One more endorsement; I've used them three times. UT is a terrific business to work with. I'm sitting on five tickets for my December trip right now that I bought with their discount and now beat the price increase, too.

Even if you're set on doing a dining plan, UT tickets can still fit into the equation.

Here's an exemplary scenario.

Last December, we decided to treat my parents to a deluxe Disney vacation. We booked adjoining rooms at each of Poly and BC (split stay, with 4 nights at each resort) and had ADRs at signature restaurants virtually every night. We also had quite a few character breakfasts scheduled (as we have a couple of young kids).

My parents would have NEVER paid (or let me pay) OOP for those meals so I felt like the DxDP was the only option (my parents are like Morty and Helen Seinfeld).

Because we had two rooms at each (deluxe) resort, room discounts were almost certainly going to be a better deal for us than free dining.

Ultimately, I ended up buying everyone's tickets from UT. I then booked the rooms under AP ticketless + dine packages and when AP discounts finally came out, I applied the discounts to our rooms (these were 5% more than the GP discounts - which adds up for 16 total nights in deluxe resorts).

Finally, when we arrived at WDW, I upgraded my MYW ticket to an AP (had some trouble with the "price bridging" due to some ignorant CM's, but this was ultimately straightened out) so as to make both rooms eligible for the discounted packages + dining.

Anyway, this is just one example of a scenario where tickets are purchased from UT while still being able to use a dining plan.

We just saved over $230 for 4 people by using UT to buy tickets for our trip in August. We also saved more than $200/day on our hotel room with a great room rate from a disney travel agent. I don't mind spending money while on vacation, but why waste it?

BTW, if you cancel your trip and want a refund, you can get one from UT. They charge 5% for refunds, but that is pretty cheap insurance.

Let me know if I am wrong:
I bought 10 day-park hopper-water parks & more-no expiration tickets from UT. If I go during a free dining period for seven nights at CSR, I would have to buy at least a 3 day ticket with the package to get the free dining for the seven nights. The question is: Can I add on the UT tickets to my plan after I use up the original 3 days and still be eligible for the free dining?

You can have the package tickets removed from your room card and use them at any time in the future. Then just use your UT tickets for park entrance and save the other set for a future trip.
