There’s no real pitfalls with UT. I’m not sure why anyone would buy tickets from Disney unless it was to secure another, larger discount (which is rare).Hi everyone! In the process of planning a May 2020 trip. I was gifted DVC points so my initial reservation is room only. I wanted to know any pitfalls of buying park tix from UT. Also, can you add a dining plan if the park tix are not purchased direct through Disney?
TIA!!!
Disney just raised ticket prices. UT will sell at the old price until they run out. Thanks so much everyone! I was just curious bc it’s a $500 savings and it just seemed too good to be true. I was pricing a 7 day park hopper for 2 adults and 2 kids.
A discount that large means those are pre-price increase tickets. So the potential pitfall is that upgrading those tickets will be very expensive. You won't lose all your savings, but a big chunk. Thanks so much everyone! I was just curious bc it’s a $500 savings and it just seemed too good to be true. Purchased 5A & 2 C 8day parkhoppers from UT the day Disney raised ticket prices and had the hard tixs mailed to me...saved $725 because UT still had the old price available . Came Fed Ex and had to sign for them. Delivered in less than a week!

You already have hoppers, so it's most likely up be an issue if you wanted to add an extra day, add waterparks or upgrade to an annual pass. What do you mean by upgrading the tickets?
My daughter will be doing that when she comes home from vacation. We have never had a problem before...they are the same plastic credit card like tixs that disney sells, come on a sheet with all the info and i screen shoot it to have as back up. You scratch off the last 4 digits to attach to MDE. I bought the hard tixs this time because they are fully refundable for the next 90 days incase of a change in plans. That’s incredible! and when u linked to MDE it was no problem? That’s incredible! and when u linked to MDE it was no problem?
Refundable by UT? I’m sorry for the basic questions. I haven’t fully researched. I’m just nervous to go through a 3rd party. But $500 is huge!My daughter will be doing that when she comes home from vacation. No problem...great ?...if you buy hard mailed tixs they are refundable for 90 days from date of purchase but emailed tixs are not...if you have any questions you can call the number on their website...very helpful and can help you, but all purchases must be made over your computer and not the phone . You will see the two different types of tixs at check out. I would definately call and have all your questions answered firstt like I did.Refundable by UT? I’m sorry for the basic questions. The basic premise is that they are splitting their travel agent finders fee with you. Disney pays travel agents 10%, UT (a travel agency) gives you most of that 10% as a price break. Thanks so much everyone!
