Undercover Tourist iPhone app ?

Has anyone used the Find a Friend feature in this app? I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong, but it shows all members of the group at my house - all the time!!
Does it need to be running in the background on everyone's phone to work? Or am I just doing something wrong?
Any help appreciated!

Ok from what I can gather from mine that's I think is the idea it ment to find people in your own group! .. So ie if they get lost you can locate them.
you can put in a new group if you want to create new friends!! il be one!! heehee ..

We've tried to use it on two separate occasions - our experiences with it were poor at best. It was either a huge battery suck and more accurate (but still not great) or very out of date. The rest of the app is great though!

Our whole group this time had iphones, and we used the Find my Friends feature with great success.

Do you all need to have the app running? We all have iPhones, we all have the app installed and we've all joined the same group.
We're not all running it though. Maybe that's the problem?
