What are your votes for the top three under-rated rides/attractions/things to do/meals or snacks at WDW? The things you don't hear about as much as others or are not as heavily advertised...

Our family's (DH, DW, DS10, DD8) top three under-rated:
1. Tomorowland Transit Authority in Tomorrowland at Magic Kingdom
2. Spaceship Earth Ride at EPCOT
3. The Tollhouse chocolate-chip cookie/ice cream sandwich you can buy from the stand-alone carts throughout the parks

Universe of Energy.. ~ I love the Jeopardy part :)

For me personally:
1. Character Dinner at LTT There's so much hype around Cindy's and Chef Mickey's character meals yet I think this one is really incredible.
2. The Pumpkin Fudge (tastes just like pumpkin pie).

without a doubt Tomorrowland Transit Authority....whole family loves that ride.
we were able to utilize it when space mountain was having minor difficulties...
it was totally exposed ..we got to see it as if it was out in the sunshine.
totally awesome..plus it is a great ride when you are just plain tired and need a break....

COP---my vote as well...probably because I was 10 yrs old when Is seen it first introduced at the worlds fair in NY....so for me it has sentimental reasons

mmmm...

and my third choice....it is hard.....but...okay here goes....

have to say, outside Japan pavillion in Epcot...

dont' know how to explain it, but the little kiosk outside the restaurant whereby specialty candy figurines are made (think out of taffy) don't know the exact art it is, but do know it is fascinating.

a lady takes some sort of taffy, molds it into any animal that you want. totally great to watch...

so someone help me out here and tell me exactly what that sculpting is?

well anyhow, that is my 3rd choice.....

I agree with Carousel of Progress when we were there in December there was 1 hour wait for some rides while we could walk right on Carousel of Progress.

1. the American Adventure in Epcot
2. The Discovery Island Trails in AK, not so much underrated as under-used. No one's ever there, and the trails are so beautiful!
3. The Streetmosphere characters in MGM. The funniest "attraction" of my last trip!

My top three favorite under rated stuff has to
1. Turkey Legs if i get one of these at the right time of the day i am set for the whole day i dont need a snack or even a light dinner just bring a big enough zip lock bag to put it in and im all set..

2. The boats even though these arent over looked but most people use them to get to here and there i love just sitting on the boats (from the TTC to MK or the friendship launches at epcot) and just relaxing (i guess its cause i grew up on the water my grandfather was a fisherman)

3. Hotel Hopping, i get to like down town disney or the TTC and get on what ever bus gets there first unless of course its from my hotel and just checking out the hotel and then doing it again....

I try not to hustle myself along, as you can see, when im in the parks im on vacation solo and its my way of relaxing :flower:

I was going to say Streetmosphere as well, and I agree with the Muppetvision pre-show, but i'd also like to add the pre-shows at lots of rides such as Star Tours - when there's not much of a line, you don't notice all the detail and stories going on with each robotic character in the hangar.

I love the Swiss Family Treehouse. I feel like the only one, but it has fascinated me since I first saw it in 1988 when I was 10 years old. :D

At the MK at the Main Street Bakery, they take two fresh cookies of your choice, and add ice cream to make a delicious cookie ice cream sandwich. It was so big my daughter and I together could not finish it! It was soooo tasty :earseek:

The Timekeeper
Cranium Command
Streetmosphere Characters at MGM

I think the preshows at Muppets and GMR are some of the best. Even though its a resteraunt, I concider SciFi Diner to also be an attraction. I end up with my eyes glues to the screen so much that sometimes I forget to eat.

Tommorrowland Transit Authority (or as we still call it - the Wedway)
Carousel of Progress
Cranium Command

I'll add one more - Fort Wilderness. One of Disney's best kept secrets. From staying there, having a home away from home for dirt cheap - to eating at Trails End & enjoying the all you care to eat Hoop De Doo fried chicken for $10 at lunch/$15 at dinner.

VMS - Thanks for the Heads up on the Main St. Bakery Cookie Sandich - My DH is going to LOVE that. I can't believe after a dozen trips, I never knew they did that!

Another fan of TTA!! I told my dd that when we go in December, I just want to stay on it for about 3 or 4 trips around!!

The "jumping" fountains in Epcot.... these amused us (like the simple people we are!)

Peter Pan's flight.... I know this is popular, but I really loved it.... can't believe my friends skipped it last year! :earseek:

My highest on this list is, like some others here, TTA. We rode it 4 or 5 times on our last trip. Fun, nice and relaxing, and there's usually never a line.

We love the Carousel of Progress, too, and hope it sticks around for a long, long time.

Ice Station Cool is one of our favorite spots in Epcot. Mmmmm.... Smart Watermelon. (insert typical Beverly joke here)

I think that Flights of Wonder at AK is really underrated. It's nothing fancy, but interesting and entertaining.

We also love all of the live performers at WDW, especially Matsuriza (Japanese drummers) and Four for a Dollar at Disney-MGM.

Girlfriend, I have a story about that! I went to Disney on my honeymoon last year. I wanted my hubby and I to have a Mickey head ice cream (you know, the Brown Cow thing) at a cool spot in a park. So we find an ice cream cart and he goes and gets our ice cream. He comes back with a Mickey head for me, and one of those ice cream sandwiches for himself. I took one bite of his and BEGGED him to trade with me! LOL! We have definite plans to get an ice cream sandwich this time! LOL! You are right, they are WAY underrated!

Oh VMS, you've done a bad thing. I am going to HAVE to go get one next month on our trip. *sigh* O, the weight gain. :earboy2:
