Up until now, on our trips, our kids have been free anyway as they were all under 7 and I haven't paid much attention to this.

However, DD turned 7 in December, so the price for a family trip has jumped up a bit and I was wondering if any of you regulars can tell me if this under 12's stay and play free offer they've got on at the moment comes around a lot or if it's pretty rare?

If it's a regular offer, are there general times of year when it's on (e.g quiet out of season), or is it just random?

January -> March every year since 2004 at least that's when we first made use of it and it can be combined with the extra day and night free offers around the same time. :goodvibes

We took advantage of it this year as DD was 9. I seem to recall the under 12's offer being Jan - March.

Great stuff. Thanks guys. There were advantages of going in January, but not sure I could handle the cold every year :rotfl: still you never know ;)

Anyone know how much the weather improves between January and March? And maybe also if this years -12 temperatures are normal for January or if we were just unlucky this year?

We've had some fantastic trips in March with superb weather :thumbsup2

Only downside is the park closing at 7pm.

I think we was unlucky this year lol. Well i'm hoping so as i want to go same time next year lol.

Great to know, thanks. 7pm closure doesn't really bother us, the kids are always shattered by then anyway. What sort of EMH do you get in March?

Yeah I'm hoping so too :rotfl: It's the perfect time of year really and at least we know if we handled the cold ok this year we'll generally be OK ;)

EMH every day this March and park opening til 10 pm on the weekends. weather is unpredictable though but we've always had a great time. :)

I would say that the weather in January tends to go two ways in my experience - it's either VERY cold (like it was this year) or it's rather wet.

We've had cold more than wet, but it does happen occasionally.
