Undecided Voters ??????

I'm not looking for any candidate debates here, only this; the polls, the opinion groups after the debates and most journalists seem to focus on those voters who have yet to decide who to cast their vote for. Based on the number of political threads posted here it would seem that just about everybody on these boards at least have made up their minds.

My question is this, is there anyone who is undecided here and secondly, if you are undecided why?

Maybe I'm idealistic or nieve but for the life of me I cannot understand how someone could honestly be undecided at this point.

Please don't flame or bash me but I am very undecided even now. I have prayed and cried and worried about this forever it seems and still haven't made my decision. I hae listened to all the debates, did my own reading and digging for information, and listened to others. My problem is trying to decide should I vote for someone that I know I will compensate from or should I vote for someone that I think is the best for the country. I am not a flake or an uneducated person who doesn't care. I am an American who is torn between the two candidates. Yes, I obviously do not belive in either one very strongly. I will continue to pray and talk to my husband about this until next Tuesday. Next Tuesday I will make a decision that I can live with and at least know that I did my duty as an American.

Even though I am leaning more and more toward one, I am still not sure if he is the right choice. I am so torn even after all the reading I have done. I "know" who I should vote for based on where he stands on key issues to me, yet there are still things about him that worry me. I have to decide what is more important to me.

I don't think that if someone is undecided, even at this point, that makes them less eduacted or less concerned about the election. For many it is a tough decision, and I just hope that for those of us who are still unsure, that we will feel at peace after we vote next week.

I thought about not writing the last line about how anybody could not have decided by now. May be I should not have. I don't mean to make anyone feel bad about their decision, that was not my intention. I just felt that the current race has been so devisive that many people would have made their choice by now.

I appreciate you candor and really that's kind of what I was looking for, reasons that someone would have for being undecided, so no flames from me promise.

You're brave to speak up as an undecided. You're liable to get PMs and posts from those who will try to sway you. You have a right to decide WHEN you decide.

My choice has always been clear but I respect that you're still making up your mind.

Just be sure to VOTE!

I'm very much the oddball in my family. My family has always voted Democrat and I married into the Republican side so that makes it a bit interesting in our household also. I didn't post so people would campaign one way or the other. I just wanted to give my views as an educated woman who has to decide what I can live with.

Yes! Please vote! It's sooo important.

I hope you make up your minds and are satisfied with your decisions--of course I do hope you vote for Kerry, but I can understand that neither Bush nor Kerry might seem desirable candidates. I'm all for having more parties so that we have more choices in the future. It's great that people are thinking so hard about whom they'll vote for. For me, the choice is easy, but I know it isn't that way for everybody.

I have a friend who's undecided--she jokes that she's going to write in her mother as her vote for president. But hey, at least she's voting, right?
