Undecided on a moderate

I will be attending a business seminar at the Swan Resort in October and I'm undecided where to stay for the week. I will not be staying at the Swan due to the cost, however I will be able to afford a moderate resort. I am having troubles on where to book. Looking through this fourm, it seems that everyone is 50/50.

I think I have my chocies narrowed down between CSR and POFQ. I will be by myself for the week and by at the seminar between 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM (Unfortunatly my wfe is not able to come with me on this trip). I plan on making the most out of my trip while I'm not in the seminar. Due to the limited "personal time", I woud perfer a resort that has the best accessability to all of the different Disney attratictions.

Anyone have any suggestions?

I dont know if its still the case or not, but I voted for Coronado springs, because they (used to?) have the only direct bus to and from the boardwalk, which is walking distance to the S&D. So its the mst convenient for you.

I don't believe the CSR - BW bus runs anymore. I voted for PO-FQ, I really wasn't fond of CSR, especially the food court. On the other hand, CSR has a business center if you would need those kind of services.

either PO is a good choice. Both have nice differences but both are good choices.

We love POFQ because:

* relatively small resort - never feels crowded
* great pool if you have kids
* nice river walk to POR
* nice relaxing boat ride to Downtown Disney

POR is nice but larger and we didn't like the pool as much. We have never stayed at CSR so can't comment.

POFQ: the buildings were totally refurbed last year and everything in the rooms is new.

You might want to check out possible discounts at the Swan or Dolphin. Although we stayed at WL we first looked at Swan/Dolphin and found a great discount rate for the Dolphin. The Swan was about $20 higher per night.

I think that right now they are running a special and they also offer AAA, AARP, and a variety of other discounts.

We really enjoyed our first CSR stay last June and because the bus services just one resort, we never had a long wait. The resort is absolutely beautiful, especially at night and the CM's there were always helpful.

I've never stayed at POR or POFQ but understand the buses serve both resorts so they do take longer and could get more crowded. However, a nice relaxing boatride to DTD sounds nice too!

I voted CSR because we stayed there the last 4 days of a vaction that began at Polynesian Concierge & were NOT disappointed. That says it all IMHO, as to what a treat CSR was. If it can stack up to a deluxe concierge experience, they must be doing something right!

As an adult who travels to WDW solo alot, my first choice is CSR. Since it's a convention hotel and closest in amenities to a deluxe, it's the most adult-oriented of the 3. It has a great main pool with smaller quiet pools scattered throughout.

My second choice is POFQ. It's smaller than POR so most rooms are fairly close to the main building. Also both PO resorts have boat service to DTD at night which is another great perk. But POFQ was just renovated with all new furniture and decorations.

Thank you all for the comments, it was what I was looking for. I have decided to stay at the CSR. I am sure that I won't regreat it. Now the next question is are there any areas that I sould request?
