Can I pack Uncrustables (the frozen peanut butter & jelly sandwiches) in my carry-on as a snack? I know I can't take a jar of peanut butter, but does it matter if the peanut butter is "sealed" inside the bread? It is a solid - I think?

Yes, you can take them through security.

However, I would personally think of a different snack. Sometimes airlines will declare a flight "peanut free" due to an allergy on board. Sadly, this is usually done at the last possible moment and leaves people no time to then find another snack. So, you would then be without anything to eat on your flight.

Just a thought!

Yes, you may. Even if the flight has a no-peanut zone you're still able to a) eat it before you board (just ask the gate agents) b) eat it several rows away or more from the allergic individual or c) eat it at your destination. Sometimes I make almond butter sandwiches on oatnut bread with jelly and freeze them and vacuum seal them to take with me on flights. The TSA never questions them.

The peanut butter doesn't need to be sealed in the bread. You can just make a regular peanut butter sandwich if you want to.
