Last night I started shaking, I mean my whole body just shaking. It was like a wave going through me. It would only last a few seconds but then stop, but it continued for about 10 minutes or so. Any thoughts about this?
Its happened before too. All I was doing was watching TV.
Very weird.......

^ That would be my guess. When was the last time you had eaten anything before you started shaking?

I had eaten dinner just a couple hours earlier. I was actually eating at the time (Italian ice) but the shaking wasn't from eating something cold as I eat that every night. Plus the other times I had "the shakes" were random times.
It was weird, like a wave going. My whole body just started shaking so much my teeth would chatter.

Have you checked your temp? I get like that when I have a fever.

My guess would be low blood sugar. Possibly from the sugar in the Italian Ice. First your BS will spike and then drop. When it drops you can shake exactly like you discribed. You should see your doctor.

I'd go see a doctor. It might just be low BS - I get really shaky around lunch time if I haven't eaten anything all morning, but since you had already eaten...I dunno, I'd get myself checked out. Better safe than sorry, IMO.

Were you sweating at all? Like a cold sweat?

No, no sweating and no fever. I get my blood pressure checked often and it is always fine.
I hate going to the drs. because I feel like a hypochondriac with the other health problems I have.
Maybe I'll call on Monday.....

It seems to be blood sugar related not blood pressure.

When I was in labor with DD, my whole body was shaking uncontrollably. DH was trying to cover me up with a blanket, insisting I was cold. I was dying of heat and kept kicking it off. He got the nurse because he was concerned. She said it was perfectly normal when your body was going through that kind of stress. THat was 10 years ago and I have never had it again. It was a very odd feeling.

Of course, you were just watching TV so this probably didn't help at all. Sorry.

I was like that after I had my son. I was told my body was in shock, but I was freezing and it was 90 degrees outside. I had 6 blankets on and the heat cranked up. My poor dh and the nurse must have been so hot.

First off, I would definitely go to the doctor's. With that being said, I had an incident like that a few years ago after I had had an argument with someone. After it ended, I didn't think much about it, but awhile later I started shaking really bad, and literally just like you, my teeth were chattering, this lasted quite awhile, about an hour or so. It might be just a stressful reaction to something like that but it could be something more serious like mentioned above and I would definitely see the doctor. I would try to eat well with healthy food, and drink lots of liquids until you see the doc. Let us know how u make out. :)
