Late this afternoon, my favorite uncle lost his battle with pancreatic cancer. He was only diagnosed 6 weeks ago. Although I could use some pixie dust right now, I just want to say, live every day as if it's the last day you have with your family members. We never now how much time that we have together.

I am sorry for your loss. We just lost my FIL from pancreatic cancer in January. He lived 2 months post diagnosis. It is a horrible disease.

How very sad the beast robbed your dear uncle so quickly :sad1:. I'm so sorry and send hugs and prayers to you and yours.
Yes, live and enjoy each day you're blessed with to the fullest, as we never know what tomorrow may bring.

 to you also Mickyboat, I'm sorry about your FIL.

I hate stupid pancreatic cancer!!!!!! My mom was diagnosed in April and passed in July. She was 53. It is probably one of the worst cancers I have ever seen. I am sorry for your loss and echo your thoughts about being thankful for what you have - there are alot of things I would do differently if I only had known how long I had with my mom! :grouphug:

Awwwe hugs and deepest condolences  to you and your family, I also lost my favorite uncle this mornig to cancer and I know how much it sucks !!!

:hug:So sorry to hear of your uncle's death. And to hear that he suffered. Please accept my deepest condolences.

My dad passed away from pancreatic cancer about 2 years ago. We only knew he had it for 2 weeks. The ONLY good thing about it, is that you'd hate to have your loved one suffer with a painful cancer for a long time. Even though it's tougher on us (those left behind), I think it's easier for the patient in a way. The hard part is that it can really seem like a sudden, unexpected death. Hugs to your family. :lovestruc

My uncle also died of pancreatic cancer on Friday night. It was so weird b/c Saturday morning I was thinking of him (before I knew he died) on my way to work. I didn't see him very much b/c I live in CT and he lived in Mass.

 Hugs to you and the OP. My grandfather died of pancreatic cancer within 28 days of his diagnosis. The *one* good thing you could say is that he didn't suffer long. There is never enough time when you're dealing with pancreatic cancer.

Amen to that. I faced that years ago and the doctor left me with the best advice ever.

"Yesterday is gone and tomorrow is never promised. Today is now and is a time to enjoy and live. The problem with worrying about tomorrow is time taken away from enjoying now."

I'm so sorry for your loss, OP. :grouphug: We just lost my father to pancreatic cancer at the end of April, after he was diagnosed in March. It is an evil disease. I know how hard it is, and how shocking. You and your family will be in my thoughts and prayers.

I am so sorry for your loss. My sister -in-law died of pancreatic cancer in February. She died 2 weeks after being diagnosed. She was only 53!
My heart goes out to you...it's just mind boggling how one can go downhill so fast!

Hugs.

We just lost my FIL to pancreatic cancer. He was diagnosed on March 3rd and died on April 2nd.

Just reading other people's losses, makes me realize how aggressive and terrible this disease is.

In January my FIl thought he had a heart attack. By March the pain in his upper abdominal area was so bad, that's when he went into the hospital for three weeks and was finally diagnosed. He was told 6-9 months to live. Nearly a month later, he was gone.

I am so very sorry for all those who have lost someone. This thread is short, but seems filled with people who have recently lost a loved one. I know full well that there are no words to help, but you are all in my thoughts. :grouphug:

:grouphug:OP, I am so sorry for your loss.
:grouphug: To everyone who has faced this disease, I am so sorry. Pancreatic cancer...well, there are no DIS appropriate words for it.
