uncle lost battle with pancreatic cancer

I also know 3 people who have died from pancreatic cancer. One was almost 70, the other 2 were in their 50's.

It is a horrible cancer.

OP - I am sorry for your loss.

I am so sorry for your loss. I lost my husband to pancreatic cancer in 2008, after an eight month battle. It is a monster.

My brother died from pancreatic cancer at 46 after being diagnosed 37 days. It is a horrible disease.

I'm very sorry for your loss.

I am so sorry for your great loss. My very wonderful Dad, who died from lung cancer, always told me to unwrap each day as if it were a precious gift. And I always try to do that.

I am so sorry for your loss.

I lost my Mom to pancreatic cancer in Dec 1998 ... she was 61 years old. She lived less than 8 months after her diagnosis. What a terrible cancer. It still breaks my heart that she had to go through what she did.

So sorry to hear of your loss. I also lost an Uncle to Pancreatic Cancer. He had survived Testicular cancer in his 30's so he was tough. In his 60's he realized something wasn't right but by the time he was diagnosed it was over, I think he only lived one more week or so. I remember going to see him in the hospital and he knew, before the Dr's knew he knew :sad1:

Unfortunately, I will probably be posting something like this within the next year. I'm sorry for your loss. The Dr gave my uncle less than a year and this is his 4th or 5th type of cancer. But we all know pancreatic is a killer and the Dr's don't expect him to survive. he is only 38.

Thanks you all for your thoughts & prayers. It's hard to realize that so many of us have lost loved ones to pancreatic cancer. My heart goes out to all of you who have also experienced this loss as well. After sitting by his bed & hearing him moan & yell out with pain, I realize he is now in a better place. This was a tough ex-Army man. We are working out the details of his funeral with his body being flown to Washington DC to be buried in a military cemetary.

OP, I'm so so sorry for your loss~
:hug:To everyone else who has had loved ones taken from them from cancer too:hug:
My heart is with you all~

It has meant so much to me to have people outside of the family to discuss this with. I was very close to this uncle. I will miss him so much.

I am very sorry for your loss.

I too, lost my uncle a few years ago to pancreatic cancer. He was gone only 3 weeks after his diagnosis. :sad1:

After a long week, my uncle's body was taken to Washington DC for his military funeral. It took a while because we basically had to make an appointment for burial since they only allow so many to be buried per day. He is finally at peace in his final resting place. I want to say thank again for all of your thoughts & prayers

OP, my prayers are with you in the loss of your uncle as well as with the others on this thread who have lost loved ones from cancer. What a terrible disease, and one I pray we find new treatments and cures for quickly. May the Lord give you comfort and peace as you miss your loved ones.
