Since UJ is obviously busy I'm going to hijack and take a poll!

Which month would you rather go to Disney and why~

1. January
2. April
3. July
4. October

Furthermore... which of those months would you NOT go and why?

(Okay, July seems an obvious month to NOT go but maybe some feel differently. )

I would say...

1st pick - January. I was there in January before. The lines were short, the weather was nice, and I could change ADRs up until the day I was there. Just a little FYI - I was there January 14 to 21st.

2nd pick - October. I was never there in October, but they have MNSSHP (which I see you already said you'd like to go to), it's still hot, and the crowds are manageable.

3rd pick - April. Like Sharky said, though, you'll be dealing with the spring breakers and the kids off school for Easter.

4th pick - July. Are you really considering this?

UJ IS HERE!! Sorry been very busy....now that we have a new house we have to build a extra sturdy deck for our hot tub.....put in a whole freakin yard......that is turning into a nightmare!! Guy came out today, told me $5,600.oo for a yard.....well kiss my top soil.....aint gonna happen......and I thought the guy who bid at $2100.00 was nuts......
I have to build a large shed, the garage we have is too freakin small for all my tools and stuff.......(it will really be a man cave!!LOL)
I have been washing all the windows.......work work work......did I forget to mention.......moving sucks???

Back to DIS......You ladies rock!!! I forget to mention that enough!!

Disney would be cool in October......Lets all go this October....We will save some of our free passes from our upcoming trip!!! Or January would be good. I have always dreamed of doing the Disney marathon......I always thought if I ever get back into shape enough to do a marathon, it should be the Disney one......even though I read here it is a boring course......

Let me run this by you ladies.....Our upcoming trip: Our flight leaves Michigan at 12:30pm on Sat., we arrive in Orlando at 3:00.......I thought we had an earlier flight....guess I didnt pay close attention....I see now the airlines has a flight that leaves at 7:20AM and gets into Orlando at 10:15am....If I could get tickets for about $50 ea. would it be worth the extra $100 to get there 5 hours earlier????
I have looked at changing our current tickets but they charge $80 ea. to do that....Right now the earlier flight is $64pp w/taxes it is $150 ......If I cancel our noon flight we would get vouchers to use at a later time (within 1 year of purchase!!)
See how anal I get about this whole Disney thing......I figure it's 5 more hours at the world!!!!
Also, because the flight would be so early we would have to drive the 2 hours to the airport on friday night and stay at a hotel !! So the trip would now start on Friday instead of Saturday!! WOOOO HOOOOO !!!

Which airline are you taking? Air Tran has been messing with everyone's flights and not telling them. You're not being anal about it, I'm sure we'd all do the same thing. I vote for leaving earlier, but you'll have to be at the airport at like 5 a.m. That could be a good thing, though, since its usually less crowded in the morning and you'd get through security much easier. So what if you have to leave a day earlier? Make it a special night in the hotel!

Sorry to tell you......We are all (the whole fam damily, but you guys!!) getting together on July 4 at your sis' house!!! Big cookout, burgers, dogs, pop, beer.....pool!!!!

We wish you were here!!! You could get in the car Thurs. AM and be here thurs. night.....you could stay with us........head back home Sunday or whenever!!!!

UJ might even be taking a road trip this week to Indiana to buy fireworks!!!

Now you too? My whole family is stalking me to throw the kids in the car and drive up there because now instead of a week off before the next school year begins, we have a month because of the schedule change. Which is awesome since we just had our 3 week break in May!

But here is the dealeo ~ I drove the kids to Florida, remember? I just got the gas bill. SO: 1. I do not want to drive them up there myself because they drive me insane and Tom can't go. and 2. I really shouldn't rack up another great big gas bill... I am required by law to feed these kids.

But it's killing me. My mama is up there and it's her birthday on the 2nd, then my nephew's on the 3rd and then my sister's (Mrs. UJ) on the 6th... not to mention the 4th! And they are all celebrating without me.

But I can't do it. So y'all just call me like you usually do and pass the phone around so I can at least say hi to everyone and then when we get off the phone I will bawl like a baby.




As for the flight change..... what does your wife say? Or haven't you told her? I say if it's okay with her and you can manage to get over to the airport the night before then go for it. Then use your vouchers to COME SEE ME!

Spirit Air....I joined the $9 fare club.......cheap flights...but they just added luggage fees.....and pick your seat fees.......it all adds up.......We bought round trip Detroit to MCO (nonstop) for $97pp.....but luggage is now $15 per bag....sot thats $30 down and $30 back for us 2.......We flew Spirit last Aug. and it was $5 for each bag!! I didnt know they increased the fee!!

We prob. wont pick our seats unless they say they wont put us together.....I think thats $10pp........

We have a good hotel we can stay at for about $85 and you can park your car for up to 10 days..at that rate..... (in April we paid $130 in Chicago for the same thing).

I have never flown Airtran......dont know much about them....usually fly- Northwest, American, Spirit, United, Delta...........I rec'd an email from Spirit our return flight time changed by 30 minutes.....No big deal.....

That stinks that they even have the luggage fee! I can't understand what the big deal is about taking two bags per person on a plane. That's how it used to be. Sometimes one just isn't enough.

Security goes ape crap over it and xrrays them 3 times, they call a supervisor over......talk real hush hush....its hillarious....

Hey, one thing I learned they cant xray in your carry on....the clay filled poker chips....looks like a big black blob.....when we went on our cruise....I took about 200 chips in my carry on.....you would have thought I was smuggling small children aboard.........the Sgt. came over...opened my bag with rubber gloves, asked if he was going to get stuck by anything......used a stick to open it up....it was funny!!!!!! He was acting all serious (I know that routine!!!)....I promised him I didnt have anything illegal in there......
The machine cant see through them!!!!

1. Adidas slides- a must..I dont walk barefoot on carpet in hotels.
2. Sandals- leather- for DTD
3. Asic running shoes- I wear in the parks
4. Asic running shoes- run in the mornings- they get all sweaty
5. Brown slip on loafer- with tassels - for dinner
6. Black slip on loafer- for dinner

If you wear a black belt, you have to have black shoes, same with brown.....its a must!!!

OK it was 6!! Thats not too many, is it??

And you are so very right! Tomato is really all for putting the cruise off for awhile. He said we could almost pay for TWO trips to WDW or *gasp* one there and one "somewhere else" eek: ) for what we would pay for the cruise. I am 99% sure it's a done deal and we are cancelling.... just have to send an e-mail to our agent. Maybe later. I don't know why I'm finding it so hard to do it.... it all makes perfect sense.... I'm just disappointed I guess.

that is crazy for some grass! Hope you can find someone that is cheaper and also get your deck built for the hot tub. When you build your shed you should hang a sign over it that says "The Man Cave"

I think changing the flights to an earlier time in the morning is a fantastic idea!! Not too expensive to change them and like you said, your vacation starts a day earlier.

I have to, that free dining adds up!!!

The real reason: I'm bored. DW can sleep in until 9 or 10, 1 hour to do hair and makeup, I'm up around 6.

I'll walk to the main building, get my coffee, go through the gift shop for the 20th time.....walk around some more, find a paper, sit on a bench.....then go for a run.......

Meanwhile we are missing everything at the parks....everybody else in the world is up and at the entrance gates to the parks.....except us.....We are missing it all!!! Thats how I feel anyway!!!!

I think they should open parks at 5:00AM so I could get 5-6 hours in the park then go back to the room and get everyone else!!!! Our last trip, the boys would sleep until 11:00.....drove me nuts!!

No, I dont threaten them.....come on.....I do remember one trip to the world where I had wired up a small TV, made a stand for it in the old minivan.....it had a VCR with it....We let each kid pick out 3 VHS tapes and let them pick in rotation what they wanted to watch...(The TV was located right behind me while I drove)....They watched "GREASE" 3 times in a row.....I think I still have that video hid somewhere!!!!

Cant wake the kids up early, I get yelled at for that........Daddy bear knows not to mess with Momma bear and her cubs........not a smart move!!! I gave up on that one years ago......I was told I ruin Disney trips!!!
