Have your ever used them to see if you or family members had any long lost "treaures". I used it (the state one) for fil because he never told us anything about his personal stuff. Well low and behold I found out his name was on the list. I sent for the info. They sent me the paperwork back. It was unbelievable. 8 pages front and back, needed to be notarized, needed death certificate and surrogate certificate , all which if you didnt have you had to pay and send to get from appropriate places etc. I told dh it was for like $40 and he told me to forget it. Now I see there are 2 entries for my grandma and I would have to do the same thing. One I think I might know what it is for, the other I dont. I guess I will put it on the eventual to do list. Anyone have any good stories to share.
