Uncharted Adventures on Wish

the funny thing is that it was on the end of cruise survey but yet they cant even get it up and running.

Sorcerers of the Caribbean? I'm just now hearing about this, and I won't be telling my son. He'd be terribly disappointed if it weren't up and running by our Sept 30 sailing.

Wow! I had no idea this wasn’t available yet. We sail in January. What else is still being added besides this and Aladdin?

The biggest single disappointment of my entire family was that Uncharted Adventures was not available for our August 12-15 Wish cruise.

My kids enjoyed the cruise, but between no UA and no mini-golf, no chessboard, the Vibe Teen lounge being half size part of the time with too few video game consoles, (as "The Hideaway" for 18-20 year olds was actually part of the Vibe lounge, they just had a wall divider to separate the two when doing activities for the Hideaway), and just the sheer amount of people crowding the buffet and fast food area, I think this was probably their least favorite of the five cruises they've done with Disney. That's not to say they didn't have fun and didn't like - they did - but they were very disappointed to have no Uncharted Adventures and no mini-golf, and even the "spoiling" factor of having a 1BR Concierge room didn't make up for the lack of activities they wanted to do. Though they did appreciate having free wifi as a 1BR Concierge guest, so they could stay in touch with their friends all weekend.

Interesting. Our son is still Oceaneer level but when we would “explore” near Vibe we wondered why there were always groups of kids just sitting in the hallway outside but that might just explain it.

I personally thought the space was surprising small for teens, especially when Hideaway was walled off. Especially when you consider the enormous space that 12 and under have.

It really feels to me, unfortunately, that the Teens are a bit overlooked on the Wish... which doesn't help when my Teens are less interested in Disney and other cruise lines have more activities that older kids enjoy. For example, we sailed on NCL Bliss in Alaska in 2019, and there was an amazing teens club with their own private deck space and wading pool. My kids enjoyed that space a lot more.

I think it's kind of a cyclical issue. It's likely that families with teens/older teens, in a very general sense, wouldn't gravitate towards a Disney cruise.... so dedicating more space to a group that isn't generally large does not feel worthwhile. But then, the fewer activities and spaces available for this age group, the less inclined those families will be to sail with DCL.

My kids are 9, 10 and 13 and even they are aging out of the DCL market.

My daughter started at 11 preferred to stay out of clubs. Upon 18 enjoying 18/adult activities and area. Went on Royal and found enough to do but adult entertainment was sans taste level and made her uncomfortable. Attending All the 18+ taking DCL the next time and she’s hooked now. In addition now food was also a larger part of her request to go DCL over RC. She’s not a rock climber or surfer so once you take that out of the equation other things become more important for her. Price was better but already spoiled by DCL I guess.

Any updates yet on Uncharted Adventure?

When we were on the Wish a few weeks ago, we were having a conversation with the Cruise Director (Jimmy). When I brought up Uncharted Adventure (and our disappointment that it was not ready), he said there's supposed to be an announcement about it at D23. So keep an eye out for that on Sunday.

I didn’t watch all of it but I don’t remember it being mentioned at all which I take as a very bad sign. :(
