has anybody read Unbroken by laura hillenbrand? I just finished it and it is definitely one of those books that I cannot get out of my mind. amazing.

I've almost bought it several times at Wal Mart and Amazon but I can't decide. Is it good?
Is it uplifting? Right now I'm not in the mood for books that don't end well.

its very good, but definitely has some very painful and hard parts in it, so be prepared. there were parts that literally brought be to tears, but there were also parts that left me feeling very uplifted, and it ends on a high note.

It is a truly remarkable story. What sticks with me is the difference in survival rates of American soldiers in Japanese camps v. Japanese in American camps. Louis is am amazing man and I love that he is still living.

Yes, the Louis is an amazing. I liked the book well enough but it didn't wow me, for some reason, as it did for most. I can't even tell you why.
