These are great sites for unbiased reports.

VirtualTourist.com and TripAdvisor.com

Everyone has a bias. And those most likey to post on a web-site, are those who most likely had an issue. Happy people don't usually bother!

Don't forget that we also have our own database we are building here on the DIS boards- right on this very forum. No need to leave the site. ;)

I have always felt that to get a true picture, you need to get a mosaic from a variety of sources. I've read reviews from places that I've been and they've been so different it makes me feel that we were at two different resorts.

How can anyone be expected to take a seller's word on their property?
Vacations are intangable

I am sure alot of you will enjoy checking up on hotels you may be considering on and what other's have said at the hotels you have already stayed at.

Happy trips-for everyone!pixiedust:

You are so right! Too many times I've made reservations, and then read at Tripadviser that there were huge problems, etc. Caused a ton of worry, and usually for naught. All opinions have to be taken as just that...opinions!

as I try to figure out where the heck we are staying at Disneyland! Argh!

Read Trip Advisor VERY carefully. It's not ALL unbiased. I once read a post on the DIS where a poster admitted to going to Trip Advisor every few months under a new ID and posting their "horror" story. When I went and read the posts if you paid attention you could begin to see the pattern (same trash words etc)
