Oddly enough we witnessed quite a bit of rude behavior from visitors in the lobby of LTT while we were waiting to be seated during our last visit. We too saw people having fits because there was no seating available (on our way in ) or because the kitchen was closed (on our way out).
We also saw a a woman and her two kids walk by and do a doubletake when they saw Goofy. The woman quickly pushed her way inside (and I do mean pushed other people out of the way) and then told her kids to "Run to Goofy quick!" The hostess grabbed them and explained politely but firmly that seeing the characters at LTT required dining at LTT; she then went on to say that there were no more seatings available that night. She was nice, but firm with the customer. The woman got very angry with the poor hostess and then suddenly forgot how to speak English. Yeah, right. The hostess finally ushered them to the door. The minute the hostess turned around, the woman once again pushed her kids toward the dining room saying -- in English, mind you -- "Hurry before the lady sees you!" The hostess did see them and once again ushered them out. The woman and her kids then stood in the doorway for more than 15 minutes staring at those dining nearest the door and giving them dirty looks and making periodic guerilla attacks, thwarted by the poor CM. (I don't know why she didn't call security.)
And finally, a family group had 8 kids under the age of 5 seated at one large table who were all shrieking during the entire meal. Yes, I know there are kids at WDW, but this went waaaay beyond the norm or beyond what other diners should be expected to absorb. And of course, the parents were oblivious to it all. Even my dd was complaining about the noise level. Quite honestly, I couldn't even hear my dh seated next to me because of the noise level -- which went on for over 45 minutes. The kids were also running around and throwing food. One couple even got up and left because it was their anniversary and they felt the night was ruined. Another family was saying how they would all need Tylenol for dessert after they left. I know kids can/do make noise but these kids were completely out of control. I don't know that the CMs can do anything, but truly it seems to me that if one party is ruining the dining for everyone else, that there should be a way to handle it.
I don't know if LTT attracts these problem people or if it was just a bad night. My dd commented that the wait staff and hostess looked exhausted and frustrated there -- something we've never seen at any other WDW restaurant to that extent.
