Unaccompanied children on rides

My son will be almost 9 when we go to Florida. I am a self confessed wuss when it comes to rides and whilst I will try to be brave and go on rides with him, there are bound to be some that I really can't bring myself to go on. My question is, if he really wants to ride alone (provided he meets the height requirements), is that OK or is an accompanying adult required? Also, could I queue with him to ensure he is OK and then duck out of the actual ride itself? Unfortunately, my DH is a bigger wuss than me so he will be holding the bags and coats!

LOL. If he is OK to queue on his own, the Disney are happy with that. All of the rides that I can think off will let you duck out at the last minute. Have fun.

My two DS(10) and DD(9) go on rides on their own. I go with them righ up until they get on the ride then the CM directs me to where I can wait for them right as they get off :)

Thanks for the info. It is reassuring to know that I can queue with him and wait for him to ride if I can't face the ride myself. Thanks...
