LovetoScrap....you and I were helping Gabby on this a few days ago. Since working with her I've noticed quite a few people having this problem. Have you noticed the same? Is the confirmation email new and that's what all new members are missing?
Yes, it is kind of an ongoing thing. That is why I contacted Mary Jo, since she is a Tech Mod. As soon as I see the phrase "Registered User" under the username instead of "Earning my Ears" I know that it has to be some problem with the registration not being fully completed. I was confused by the email thing though because it has been so long since I joined so I don't remember if I got one, and I have since had a need to register other names

and did not get an email for any of those, despite using different email addresses from my original one. I asked about that but didn't get an answer.
It is my understanding the email has been around for a long time. I don't know if only certain email users get them, like aol, yahoo, hotmail etc... I assume it is a way to prevent spam accounts and prevent "bot" programs from being able to register multiple names quickly and spam the boards? I use a local cable internet service so maybe that is why I didn't get the emails? Unfortunately many of those large providers also will filter the DIS email as spam or junk so people don't get the email which is why they post here. This is the only board you can post on without being fully registered or without registering at all.
The email can be resent, you have to contact a tech mod or WM to do that, but wtihout PM's that can be difficult! Kind of a catch 22. Kaylajr is now the mod here to try to help people out and I know I see Moderator Safetymom over here a lot also trying to help people out.
Unfortunately I think a lot of people just give up or post and then forget to come back

Hopefully Christopher Robin will come back and let us know what is going on so we can try to help.
