Unable to merge reservations via email

I've had merges take anywhere from 1-8 days and I usually ask via chat. I don't call in to MS for that unless I need to ask about something else. My last merge request was in early August and it took 4 days.

We are now 10 months in and all Disney was to show is a checkbox with new text.

The "crack down" is more likely to be a raised finger - please remember you are not allowed to commercially rent. That has been true for many many years, likely since the birth of DVC.

Curious to see/hear what will be said and asked at the upcoming annual meeting in December.

It will be interesting to see what questions owners ask the board

I think what I take away from this is that they have decided, at least to date, that the policy they have in place and have used since 2008 is what will continue.

Mine isn't until the spring but I would like to have them merged sooner rather than later. It just cleans up my dashboard. Maybe it's just a little OCD for me to want that but I'm also the person who turns jars in my cabinets so that the labels face outward and my space rack is in alphabetical order.

ETA: It has been one week since I phoned to ask for the merge, so I expect it to happen any day now since the CM told me it would be 7-10 business days.

I called and they submitted the request, and for the first time ever it was not done while I was on the phone. It took 5 business days. I guess I’ve always gotten lucky. I was not asked the personal use question for either of the merges.

You've been lucky then. I have not had reservations merged while on the phone in the last 3 years. It's all been a submitted request and done later.

I just called to merge my December reservation while reading this thread. 7 to 10 business days. No mention of personal use but each day had the box checked to begin with.
4 single nights and 1 two night weekend, most obtained at 11 months as people dropped the days I wanted. Had waitlist in and found the most recent night last week. Created another waitlist for another night as I freed up points from more expensive nights.

It's a part time job! Looking at my dashboard you would think I was all set to rent it all out. I'm not. Now waiting to get the last night as I want to go to DVC Hoop DD. Booked a back up across from Disney Springs - I figure that's where I'll probably sleep that night. Looking forward to trying that hotel if I don't get a continuing night at BWV. At least they serve morning breakfast and it's mostly free using Chase points!

To continue the drama, I've booked a stopover 2 nights at Hilton Head. Well, actually one of those nights is the same night as HDD so I'll have to cancel it and try for another to add to the next night. In addition I have an old school paper trail.

Thankfully my January trip is all one reservation! October is not, but I have Moonlight Magic and messing with it could cause unwanted problems. It's also much less complicated.
