I've been trying to complete online for a few days now. I arrive at BWV on Jan 4. I get all the way through the process then I get an error message saying, "We are unable to complete online check in at this time. Please try again later."

To add insult to injury. I just spent 40 min on hold with Member Services only to be told that they are aware of the problem and to try again in a few hours. I hate Disney IT!!!!!

You really aren't gaining anything by checking in online, don't worry about it.

I kept getting the same message back in November, but at the Resort they scanned my MagicBand and all the info had gone through. Chances are your check-in is complete.

Really? I though with Magic Bands you could essentially bypass the check in desk.

You don't actually bypass the desk completely. You still have to get your room assignment and check-in packet, plus your car pass if you drive. They scan your MagicBand and give you your room assignment, if your room is ready. A faster check-in, but still you need to stop at the desk, at least at OKW.

No you still need to check in and even though you may have completed the online check in, you still may need to wait in line, give them your credit card, wait while they make room keys and verify your bands, have you sign the agreement, wait while they make a mini folder, and re-input your pins for the bands.

Fair enough. I won't worry about it (too much).

I did not need to give them my credit card, after I had done it online. I also did not sign the authorization at check-in (thought it was odd, but perhaps they simply forgot, human error is always possible). They scanned my MagicBand and checked the system to make sure all the info was there (CC number, PIN and so forth) gave me my packet and I was on my way.

this had me thinking that perhaps they can devise a system that something is placed in the car, similar to EZPass, that they could drive the rows of parked cars to see who belongs and who doesn't. It would make it easier for dinner reservations at other resorts too. I see potential!

I used DME to BWV last month, there was a greeter when I got off the bus with an I-Pad, she had me take a seat in the lobby and brought my packet over to me. My room wasn't ready. I can't remember if she scanned my band. I did get a text about an hour later that I needed to return to the front desk. They scanned my band and printed a new KTTW. I asked if my room assignment was changed, they said no, just a technical glitch.
