I'm watching Anderson Cooper (he's so cute) and he is talking about how a sixth foot has washed up on Canadian shores. Sixth??? I never heard about the first five, but okay. They are all right feet, except for one left foot and they are still in their shoe. None of the feet appear to be severed though. Is that weird or what? They have no clue whose feet they are...except for one, don't know where they are coming from or why it's only the feet that are washing up on shores. :confused3

And here I always thought Canada used the metric system. ;)

I'll say -- they can't tell whether the feet have the rest of a person still attached?

If they're just feet, don't they have to be severed in one way or another? Or do they mean "severed" as in "by a knife" versus "not severed" as in "by a shark."

Is there a six flags in the area?

Ooo. Wow. Harsh. Don't get me wrong - I'm :lmao::rotfl2: .

Just...wow!

Unfortunately (or fortunately, depending on perspective), many here won't get it...

Ummm....so....gross. I've never heard of this! Guess I need to be watching more AC.

So these feet are just washing up on shore? How can they be "un-severed?" If I found a foot just by itself, something is going on.

Frank - wow...That's so wrong. :sad2: Yet I'm still laughing. :rotfl: I feel bad for that girl, yet absolutely HATE those sort of rides (with the exception of ToT, of course). I've done it once for a physics class, and promptly swore off them for ever.

That is crazy. How were they removed if they were not in some way severed though? I will have to start watching the news.

Just found this - the 6th one was a hoax

What was believed to be the sixth human foot to wash up on the shores of British Columbia in recent months proved to be a fake, authorities said Thursday.
RCMP officers use a container to carry a shoe found on a Canadian beach on Wednesday.

RCMP officers use a container to carry a shoe found on a Canadian beach on Wednesday.

A "skeletonized animal paw" had been placed in a sock and athletic shoe that was packed with dried seaweed, the British Columbia Coroners Service announced.

The hoax was uncovered as the coroner's office began DNA and other forensic tests on the supposed foot in an attempt to identify the person to whom it belonged.

The coroners service, a forensic pathologist and an anthropologist all examined the shoe and remains before declaring it a fake.

"It is the position of BCCS that this type of hoax is reprehensible and very disrespectful to the families of missing persons," authorities said in a written statement. "It fuels inappropriate speculation and creates undue anxiety for families and communities while wasting valuable investigative time and resources that could be spent on the main investigations."

Police initially believed that a right human foot had been found in a man's size 10 black Adidas athletic shoe. The grisly discovery was made Wednesday. Video Watch woman talk about the mystery »

The find came amid conjecture over the source of five other severed human feet that have been found along the Canadian province's Pacific coast in the past 11 months. Authorities are continuing to investigate multiple possibilities on the origin of the feet, from foul play to the possibility that they belonged to victims of a plane crash.

"We are exploring the possibility that it could be people who may have drowned," said Annie Linteau, a spokeswoman for the Royal Canadian Mounted Police. "It could be missing fishermen. It could be the remains of people who may have died in a plane crash."

Being from Canada......we are trying to get back to the imperial system and this is our way of protesting the damn metric system.

Pretty soon you are going to see miles of string wash up on shore and yards of yarn. Damn we will get rid of this system somehow.

Well, maybe if we luck out that string and yarn will wrap itself in just the right way that the next foot will still be tied to the rest of the body!

It is very strange, isn't it? :confused3

Well another one washed up to make it 6 legit...

Wouldn't someone notice their foot missing? I know I can lose my keys and stuff but this is a bit extreme.

Seriously though, you gotta think there is some kinda twisted sociopath out there. That and our recent bus beheading makes me think that Canada has some mental health issues!

When I think of six+ feet, washed up, and Canada, I think "Mike Vanderjagt." :rotfl:
