How crowded is it going to be that weekend...is there a Mickey TOT?

It's going to be crowded, from everything I've read. We're going Oct 17-21 and I was kind of dismayed at how popular that time has become. We didn't used to encounter bad crowds on most days (we've been going mid-Oct for 5 years now), but the school holidays during mid-Oct have really escalated. All those people on vacation along with the popularity of Halloween time at DL means it will likely be busy, sigh. There is a MToT on Friday the 17th but there's not one during your stay.

I'm kind of hoping it rains a day or so. That is something else we've encountered every time we've gone in Oct and it really keeps the crowds down.

That's the weekend of Utah's fall break... UEA, Utah Educator's Association, also known as "Utah Escapes to Anaheim." But your Monday and Tuesday should be ok.

Also, crowds have been lower lately, what with the economy and the high price of gas... so maybe it won't be so bad this year? We can only hope!

Anyway, just be sure and get there 30 mins before opening, collect FPs, and take a midday break on Saturday. Weekends are never a picnic, but hey, it's DL! You should be fine.

Thank you It's my family's fall break too but it's the only other time they said they could go and DH said it sounded better to him than Thanksgiving week so I'll take what I can get! Crowded Disneyland is better than no Disneyland if you know what you're doing!

Very crowded for sure! Last year it was more crowded then I found worth it. Even for DL, as much as I love being there, I didn't find it enjoyable when it got to the point where even POTC and Pooh had a long wait!! Not to mention the wall to wall people, where you couldn't even get around. We spent more time in the hotel then usual, since we would get tired quickly of the crowds.

My advice is to get there early, and really take advantage of those FP!

I expecting it to be bad on Saturday. There's no getting around that. I'm praying that it won't be too bad monday/tuesday though. But I'm preparing for it to be...

We were there Tuesday-Saturday. Tuesday was our best day, the rest were very crowded. Like yourself, a lot are there on fall break.
